Ysberyl was born and raised in the Gnarley Forest by his druid mother and rogue father. He also spent time apprenticing with his uncle in the Free City of Greyhawk, where he not only learned his craft, but also about the many other races in his world. As such, he is able to get along with most everyone, including dwarves. He has not though, lost his hatred of goblins and orcs or any creature who would despoil the forest.

He is patient and friendly, as well as fearless in combat and springing traps. He has nerves of steel, combined with great dexterity when approaching the task at hand.

His outlook on being a rogue is one that's less about stealing and getting rich as it is about using his skills to combat evil forces, whether they are in dungeons, castles or mountain complexes. He has become an adventuring spirit looking to enhance the common good and rid the world of evil.

Varnick was chosen as a Talviak adventurer when in his teens and placed into the hands of the magi guild. This order is one of destined adventurers who do the bidding of the Talviak grandmasters, mysterious sages who show up when a mission is needed to do. Talviak adventurers wear the Kenaz rune (<) somewhere on them such as a shield or signet ring. Varnick studied under the wizards at the Yggsburgh magi guild and now awaits orders from the guild, the Talviak order or whatever task comes along. (Note there's no tangible advantage to being of the Talviaks it simply serves as a reason for the madness while adventuring I've used over the years).

Rolin Atyar

Acolyte of St. Cuthbert

Located at Grand Temple and Monastery at the intersection of Grand Ave., Citadel Ave., and Temple St.

Rolin has been at the Temple since being a young lad and has always been attracted to the doctrine of St. Cuthbert. As he received his education and learned more and more of the clergy he decided that he wanted to be a priest as well. He wanted to be a teacher and to be able to care and heal others. Like they did for him. So he took his oath of dedication at the age of 1 4 and spent years studying the doctrine and scriptures of St. Cuthbert. He also learned the physical techniques of wrestling, wearing armor, and wielding the weapons favored by the priesthood.

Now that he has been ordained into the priesthood and is now having prayers granted to him by St. Cuthbert Rolin is ready to go out and prove himself worthy of the honor. He has been provided with the basic tools of spreading the teachings where ever he goes. He has even been on a few church missions to route out goblin and bandit problems, and is now looking to continue his service in the time honored fashion of finding an adventuring group.

So he is now keeping his eyes open for such people with whom he can find those in need of instruction, healing, and protection from the evils of the world called Greyhawk.
