We should have a gallery thread
I was just thinking today, I would be so cool to see everyone's gaming table in the middle or after a good session! So curious!
Maybe I can even host it so that we can have a gallery online.

Neat idea, I will have one soon. My table isn't so much a table as the whole living room.

There is nothing "cool" about my gaming table. It s dinner table with a battle mat with drawn in rooms on it, dice, a handful of character figures, and a bunch of "monster" figures ranging from a minotaur, to an Ogre, to Orcus, to a bunch of hob goblins and skeletons that I use for anything the players are facing.
Then there are just books, glasses, and soda bottles, maybe a bag of chips or pistachios.
Nothing cool. Even though one of these days I will buy a bunch of Dwarven Forge stuff. I really liked those when I played in yangnome's campaign in CA.
But I would love to see actual cool gaming tables. Who knows, maybe it will inspire me to get "cool".

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

I've seen a few cool tables out there, the most notable being the one at the D20 Hypertext SRD...
http://www.d20srd.org/extras/mapProjection.htm
I don't have one quite so nifty, but I do have a game room that my wife lets me have with no complaints. Bascially, we annoyed her to death when we would play on the kitchen table, so when I got some cash I went out and shopped for some game room stuff. I started with the table and rolling chairs. A plastic folding table - very sturdy, then covered it with a red blanket to give it a sort of 'ravenloft' theme. I added some candles to the wall and a center piece with skulls for some more ambiance. Built underneath the table are computer speakers that I use to belt out mood music while playing. The following link is to a typical pre game setup. I should have pics of my various groups gaming on line eventually as well.
http://rpgmtl.com:8080/rpgroom/pics.html
During a game there is usually piles of junk food or healthy foods even (depending on the group - I do have people that eat only fruits and yougourt and RICE CAKES! SERIOUSLY!).
I would love to see others and their setups. I am constantly aiming for a little something more to make the room more inviting. huh... sometimes I think it's a little too enviting as it is because I have to many people begging to come over!
It's all in good fun. Thank goodness for my wife and her understanding!

If jealousy is a good motivator then I am motivated.

Hi Jinx, love the look of the room! I should make shelves for my minis too, it sure beats scrounging for them when I need them. Maybe when I finally move into my home next september. We have a game Monday, I'll definitely post some pics then!
I'm really hyped to see everyone's table its neat.

Treebore's description almost matches mine to a tee (my kitchen table), except that we often have a second game running in the family room. Sometimes we swap a player from room to room every hour or even swap CKs after 4 hours (since we run the same adventure in both rooms). I do that on occassion because it gives each player a chance to game with both CKs and each of the other players.
A recent interesting suggestion by one of my players was that when a character dies, that character is ressurected to join the party in the other room (since they're dead to their previous party). However, I noted that a poor tactical player might end up moving back almost as fast as they left. lol.

Awesome set up Jynx, I can wait till I'm done with this college crap and start making some money. Jealousy is a good motivator.

I don't have a dedicated gaming room in my house (I wish!), but my friend Bob has one, and it is sweet. Of course, he gets together and games on a weekly basis, for it makes sense for him...
This site has a couple of pictures of Bob's gaming room, as well as several others:

That Empire boardgame looks like my kind of game. I love Axis and Allies, RISK, Supremecy, etc...

I'd like to have my own gaming room but the new house we are moving into will have a big enough dining area for it to be used as one when we're not eating.

I've got pictures of ten of us playing C&C at a recent bachelor party! I think it would be pretty cool to have a gallery link like this too!

Hi guys, I guess since I started this thread I should probably contribute. I uploaded a gallery to the www.inquisitionsquad.com website, it's in flash btw so I hope you can view it.
Nothing fancy...just the general mess that is my gaming life right now. Waiting to move into a new house and finally being able to finish the basement and decorated it the way I want to. I'm thinking of painting a grasslands view on the walls and stuff like that...

I sold a lot of my gaming stuff to get it and it's worth every penny! I so want the new cavern lake stuff. But that will definitely have to wait. I just pre-ordered the Order of the Stick boardgame... it's going to be so kick ass!
