One-Shot: Looking for test subjects...errr...players

Post by The Velvet Souljah »

I am a new DM and am relatively new to C&C. I would like to run a one-shot on Saturday night just to get a sense of how things work in this system. I am looking for players who are (1) looking for a bit of fun and (2) would be willing to speak up to perhaps teach a new DM/CK when I go a little astray.

I was thinking about 8 pm EST, this Sat. night (7/7). Please respond to the thread if interested.
Peace.

How are you planning on running this? I.e., SKYPE, chat, play-by-post, etc.

Argh...sorry about that.

I was thinking about playing over Skype. Looking for four (4) players to play something that can hopefully be completed in one night.

I would like to, but we are doing a double header at the movie theaters that day and your 7 is 4 PM my time. So we probably won't even be done with the movies by then, let alone the one hour drive home.

Now if you can do it a 7 PM EST on Sunday I can do it.

Plus my kids (ages 14 and 15) are standing behind me saying they would like to play too.

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

It sounds cool, but I have to attend a wedding Saturday evening.

I could give it a go. I play in Treebore's Monday game.

SKYPE is probably the way to go.

If you really want to complicate your life/add another fun dimension, have a look at Maptool

Just like the old "miniatures on a battlemat". Handles dice rolls too (and its free).

I'd like to help you out, but like many others tomorrow is no good for me. If you are interested in running on a different day, I may be able to play.
