Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Umm, when does their 24 hours start? Still lists it at something like half price. That's a bit away from "free."

Click on the "Free RPG Day" link that is small, a blue color, and above and to the right of the blurb.

Keep looking. I got it for free when they accidentally had it up for free initially. I believe Gideon or one of the other Troll Lords said it would be made available again for free on RPG Day for download.

Har! I actually bought the True20 PDF a while back and have kept up with the updates. It's a very cool game, so go git er fellas! The new Saga Edition of Star Wars borrows much from True20 and a bit from C&C as well it would seem. I really want to run a SWSE game, especially after reading the Star Wars legacy comics. I don't usually even care for comics, but legacy has me hooked!

Not yet at 9:40am either!
As for the C&C Quickstart rules, they'll probably be available for free download some time very soon.

This was a good score (I was tipped to it by the NG boards). I've been wanting to look at True20 for a while, and now it's mine .... all mine!!! well, and yours, too.

Argh. I was out of town and didn't read the boards, so I missed the True20 download entirely.
Any chance that one of the lucky ones would share?

Alot of people didn't get it due to Green Ronin's site having issues. I think the traffic may have overloaded and crashed the server. It took me over 8 hours to get to the files and download them.

Comparing CnC and True 20 is facinating for me.

Both game designers had the same goal - a d20 system that would be streamlined and reduce GM prep at higher levels. Then they went at it from opposite ends.

Green Ronin: reduced the number of classes, embraced feats.

Troll Lord: Increased the number of core classes, got rid of feats.

On the other hand, both got rid of AoO and encourage house ruling.

From the Green Ronin wesite
Quote:
Let's Make That Free RPG Week!

This past Saturday we offered three free PDFs as part of Free RPG Day. We expected the giveaway to be popular, but the response was truly staggering. We had server problems throughout the day because so many gamers were trying to download the PDFs. People endured long waits, while some never got through at all. This was certainly not our intent, and we apologize for any frustration that may have resulted. But talk, as they say, is cheap. We have decided therefore to take Free RPG Day and turn it into Free RPG Week. We will not only be offering those three PDFs for free again, but also putting a bunch of other PDFs on sale. To top things off we'll also be debuting the long-awaited Pirate's Guide to Freeport this week.

Here's the plan for Free RPG Week:

Tuesday: The Mutants & Masterminds Beginner's Guide will be free once again for 24 hours. The following Mutants & Masterminds PDFs will also go on sale for the rest of the week: Mutants & Masterminds Second Edition for $15, Agents of Freedom for $10, and the Masterminds Manual for $13.50.

Wednesday: At long last the Pirate's Guide to Freeport will debut. The full price of the PDF is $19 but for this week we're offering it for only $17. The following Freeport PDFs will also go on sale for the rest of the week: Freeport Trilogy 5-Year Anniversary Edition for $12, Creatures of Freeport for $10, and Crisis in Freeport for $8.50.

Thursday: Bleeding Edge Adventure #5: Temple of the Death Goddess will be free once again for 24 hours. The following Bleeding Edge PDFs will also go on sale for the rest of the week: Mansion of Shadows, Beyond the Towers, Dirge of the Damned, and A Dreadful Dawn.

Friday: True20 Adventure Roleplaying will be free once again for 24 hours. The following PDFs will also go on sale for the rest of the week: True20 Bestiary for $12, True20 Companion for $10, and True20 Worlds of Adventure for $9.

Free RPG Week will last until Sunday and then all the sale items will revert to their usual prices. To make things better for everyone, (a) you won't have to register or log in to our store to get the PDFs, but rather just click one link and save to your hard drive; and (b) the files will be hosted elsewhere so your enjoyment and use of our sites won't be affected by all the downloading.

Happy gaming, everybody!

This what makes Green Ronin a class act.

I predicted they would do something like this.

I said they would make things right in the thread in the general forum on ENWorld yesterday.

Anybody know where I can find a graphic with the BACK cover of True20? There wasn't one in the PDF, and while I would ordinarily be annoyed at the lack of a back cover, for free I cannot complain too much. If I can get a scan of the back cover or the back cover through some other means, I can add the scan to a second copy of the PDF.
