It looks like AFTER WINTER'S DARK is getting the folio treatment! Good job Trolls, I think this will be a very, very special intro into Aihrde.

And still under $20.00! I think I am going to be in love!

I have it lucky here, my wife doesn't know one book from another so I just pick up something new and add it to my collection. (what she doesn't know doesn't hurt me. )

$20.00?!?! Just get the folio right away. Deal with the consequences later.

I'm with you there. It has been a little more iffy with most of my books in storage. It is harder to hide new books when there is only 10-15 in the pile to start with but with a good hide check & use of the force it is dooable! It helps that she is as sleep deprived as I am with the baby in the house so any excuse sounds good!

Nope, at least most likely nope. Steve has mentioned a few times in the past couple of months that the primer shot up in page count. If the Primner is the basis for this product, you can bet your bottom dollar that this will be bigger then 24 measly pages!

YAY!

I'm not certain of the page counts of the two books in the Folio but there will be two. One will be larger, probably 48 pages and contain the meaty material. This one will have a traditional cover. The other book will be much shorter, probably 24 pages and contain more general info for everyone to use...calender, time line, etc. This book will NOT have a cover, it will be in the true tradition of the original Folio
I'm only now looking at the text to see how best to divide it. And then of course I'll go over it with Peter and see how he wants it to look.

The maps are at least four, probably six. Most of them small and duplicates but one showing where the tribes of men dwell, the other the extent of dwarven conquests etc etc.

Hope that helps.

Steve

Hmm. I don't get it, so I'll just play along. Per the description the "pocket folder" will be 9" x 12." Verily.

The folio version of Greyhawk was larger than a normal sheet of writing paper, but what amount I don't know (never measured it.) 9" x 12" seems about right, though, if you know what I'm saying. :)

Ahhhhh! OK, now I know what you're sayin'.

For pure craziness I broke out the ruler and measured the original Greyhawk Folio, 1st printing. It's measurements are 12" x 9.125".

Yup, big thanks for all of you who pushed for the Folio. Honestly, back when the folio was first mentioned for this setting, I wasn't all that excited about it, thinking it more of a gimmick then anything else. Increased cost and whatnot for a single 24 page modules in a nifty folder. However, as the page count increased and additional details were added I started liking the idea more and more, never actually thinking that the folio would be a reality. Now, with everything everybody seemed to have wanted, I'm more excited about this product then ever ~ deep material and handsome presentation with no gimmicky after-taste. Nice.
