Rate the adventure: 1-5 stars...

I thought this' be a good spot to rate C&C adventures, giving them a 1-5 rating based upon fun, originality, etc.
For crying out loud, do what you can with the attributes the dice have given you. This is what separates the men from the boys... -Kayolan

Oh right:

1 = bad

5 = one of the best adventures you've ever played

Alright, well, I'll start off:

Castle Zagyg: Yggsburgh --- 5 stars. Its got everything, from one-shot ideas to entire campaigns, all in its pages. Its also got a city, a setting, and enough material to keep the CK inspired for decades. Its like The Village of Hommlet on steroids, crack, and a Zeppelin.

These are the only two that I have used so far (just finished Rising Knight, so Blacktooth Ridge is up next.

Well, this is hard (cause some mods are perfect for what they bring to the table, i.e. intro mod - but you can't compare them to a full scale campaign module), but I'll throw out a few anyway:

This is my vote for mods I've actually run.

Assault on Blacktooth Ridge - 5

The Rising Knight - 5

Shadows of Halfling Hall - 4.5

Yggsburgh (partial) - 5

Dark Chateau - 4.75

Wizening Branch - 4.5

Shadows of the Halfling Hall = 4

Mortality of Green = 3.5

Rising Knight = 3.5

Wicked Cauldron = 1.5

Haunted Highlands = 3.5

Mysterious Tower = 4

CZ1: Yggsburgh - 5 Stars

Mr Gygax is absolutely at the top of his game with this mega-adventure/micro campaign setting. Included within this tome there are hundreds of adventure hooks and ideas, along with some good old fashioned fantasy gaming goodness. It's by far the best adventure book from TLG, and one of the 10 best adventure supplements of all time.
CZA1: Dark Chateau - 4 Stars

This module works in conjuction with CZ1, and adds an interesting adventureing locale within the Yggsburgh micro-setting. Dark Chateau is the perfect run up module to the upcoming Castle Zagyg material. Dark Chateau is a pretty straight forward adventure location, with lots of old-school goodness ~ and those nasty goblins! A blessing (and a curse) for this mod is the fact that there seems to be so much more that could be expanded on. Experienced CKs will relish the opportunity to add to the modules, while newer CKs might say... is this it? At its core, Dark Chateau is close to brilliant.

The only one I have ran:

The Beacon at Enon Tor 4.5

It is an intro module, but for what it is written it is a great module. Plus it provides plenty of opportunity for CK's.

Based on what my gaming group has used:

Yggsburgh: 5 (So many ideas to expand upon, so much to do. We had months of gaming here, and barely scratched the surface. It pains me that the gaming group has left the fair city behind, but on the flip side I get to do more world-building now. I'd love to run a rogue/assassin campaign of ne'er do-wells here.)

The Rising Knight: 4 (any module that spans three sessions and keeps everyone's interest is tops in my book)

The Slag Heap: 4 (It's got gnomes, a drider, orcs, ungern, harpies, and more! I wish I hadn't had to condense this one - there's so much going on that it really begs for in-depth, extended play, but my campaign just didn't have the time for it)

Shadows of the Halfling Hall: 3 (I love the set-up and setting, but thought it could've used a little more variety in the opponents. Especially since we had just finished a very undead-heavy adventure.)

Not to mention free, short, and packed with way more ideas, setting, and atmosphere than someone else's "slay the howling horde of humanoid bandits" adventure. I'm very excited to run this one...the 16th can't come fast enough.
