Thread Necromancy Suggestions
What threads should I go find and animate so as to get things hoppin' in here?
If I don't get any suggestions I'll go back and find some really good arguments.

Game mechanics and combat examples. I'll probably think of more later on.
My mind is backed up... somewhere. But probably not over the rainbow. More likely in another dimension.
If I post too much just let me know and I'll slow down.

Anything to help new CKs to C&C!
I have a ton of old posts in a forum that you all can't see which I need to delve through and decide what to extract and pull into view again. Not today, though, lol.

Conversions &/or adaptations. Bringing in things like Planescape races or other system settings such as Hellfrost is what I would love to see.
Everyone says it's so easy, but at least some starter ideas would be great to get creativity flowing.

I will say, at least for Planescape, that is a setting I NEVER played or ran. It seemed interesting (though i don't like the art style that I've seen), but I was never in a group back in the day that played it. My group was into Forgotten Realms, Home Brew settings and Ravenloft when it came out, and then shortly after it came out, I was stationed with a team that trained and deployed so much I didn't have time to game that much.bulletmeat wrote: ↑Wed Jan 18, 2023 7:11 amConversions &/or adaptations. Re: Thread Necromancy Suggestions
Planescape was absolutely BRUTAL to players. At least what we got ran thru (I don't think the DM was an S at least), much more-so than Dark Sun ever was. Eberron never appealed to me in the slightest. Kingdoms of Kalamar were good and introduced Hobgoblins as a dedicated PC race while Dawnforge had a rich background and good fluff writing as well as bringing Lizardmen, Doppelgangers, Ogres, Yuan-Ti, and four human variants into play plus Dawn & Night Elf variants...Minotaurs were brought in with Dragonlance and I think even Kalamar had a couple different humans (thinking).
I have my home setting which has races adapted from manga/light novels...so beastfolk (humanoid & beastial) variants, sprites, a different take on dragon-kin, majiin, tikbalang, the original half-ogre, and a birdfolk race (a not quite harpy-not quite bird type race)

Re: Thread Necromancy Suggestions
A few of our FR 2e characters ended up in planescape at higher levels so our intro was a lot easier. But for first level characters I always enjoyed the chaos of Sigil as your starting hub.Lurker wrote: ↑Sat Jan 21, 2023 4:00 amI will say, at least for Planescape, that is a setting I NEVER played or ran.
