But
BUT
1. The sage Arveemelur is looking for a book, but it's certain to take them to the Dungeon of Doom and is not worth the risk.
The party has decided it is worth the risk then?

Hey guys. Sorry again - can't make the game this Sunday night. We have a wedding to attend. I expect most of my future Sundays should be clear for gaming.
See y'all next session!

Up to you guys. I'll be here tonight or I can miss. I'll most likely be available the first, that is up in the air though, and I hope to be better settled by the fifteenth.
Re: Aergraith's Sunday C&C: "Heroes and Scoundrels of Xylh"
I have plenty of stuff to keep be busy with the move if we miss, I'll also be happy to play.

Re: Aergraith's Sunday C&C: "Heroes and Scoundrels of Xylh"
What do you think about sticking a pin in Xylh for a little while and trying FrontierSpace?
I've been wanting to play it for a while. I just got it a half hour ago so haven't read it yet, but I'm familiar with the d00 system and of course Star Frontiers.
Familiarity with d00Lite gives you a spy game (Covert Ops), a fantasy game (BareBones Fantasy) and space (FrontierSpace), always nice. We used BBF before for a one off Xylh game in the west, and I think it went pretty well but the group didn't really prepare for how the combat rules differ from a D&D style game, so it was a little clunky. I think with a few more sessions it would have been smooth.
EDIT:
(If the PHB has enough rules, otherwise need to wait for the Referee's book to come out.)
EDIT 2:
Yeah, need the Referee's book still. But feel free to get the PHB and make characters if you are interested in playing sometime. If you want to play a race not detailed in the PHB you have to wait for the Referee's book to come out (end of October if things go well). DWDStudios also said once it's out they'll release a free Star Frontiers conversion document, though I think I'd give their new universe a fair shake before going to Star Frontiers stuff.

Maybe? I dunno, have to see it I guess.
I have to be out of this house Sunday night, and we have been packing and moving for over a week. This includes my shop, and way too many cars. I MIGHT be able to play this weekend but seeing how far behind we are, I doubt it. I will be back on track by the next scheduled game though, Oct 15.

It might be better for me to run FrontierSpace or whatever game of the week I am interested in on another day anyway.

Re: Aergraith's Sunday C&C: "Heroes and Scoundrels of Xylh"
It sounds kind of cool, actually, but minutes to think about it right at the moment are scarce. I'm going this as I wait for a red light.
Re: Aergraith's Sunday C&C: "Heroes and Scoundrels of Xylh"
I'm happy to continue (and if Triss leveled to 3, that might be more interesting for the game), but would be more than willing to set this game aside and try the Space game. But hopefully, I can create a char without having to purchased the PH. I HAVE to stop RPG spending!! Arrgh!!
Another night might work for me as well.

I'll be in Indiana today and hope to get back for the game.
Mother-in-law is wasting away from Alzheimer's disease and father-in-law is recovering from chemo/radiation - so my wife wants to spend as much time as possible with them every weekend.
If I can't make it back in time, feel free to use my chars any way that helps the game.
Rhu.
