Adventures in Áereth (Friday nights, players wanted)
Adventures in Áereth (Friday nights, players wanted)
I'm looking to start over with a game in Goodman Game's world of Áereth, incorporating their Dungeon Crawl Classics modules, converting them to Castles & Crusades. Players will start their characters off at first level. Post here if you are interested. Commitment to this game is loose, but if we get at least two players to show up, then it will be game on.
Character generation:
You start at 1st level.
Maximum starting gold (you will need it!).
Maximum HP at first level. Thereafter you may re-roll 1's only.
Any multi-class combination is allowed, as well as class and a half.
Roll 4d6, drop the lowest for character gen. If you don't have at least two stats that are above average (i.e. 13 or higher), you may re-roll until you do.

Re: Friday night C&C
Here is a priest that was made 5 years ago for one of Treebore's games that never got off its feet. I reread the background and would like to see it ran. Background can be modified to match the setting.
May I introduce you to Quamara Eveningfall.
Quamara Eveningfall: Female Cleric 1
Current XP: 0
XP for next level: 2,251
Hit Points: 9
Armor Class: 17
Move: 30 feet
Encumbrance Rating: 10
Allignment: Neutral
Str 12
Dex 9
Con 13 (+1) Prime
Int 9
Wis 18 (+3) Prime
Cha 16 (+2) Prime
Equipment:
Coat of Plates (AC +5) 100 gp EV 4
Expert Buckler (AC +2) 20 gp EV 2
Morningstar 12 gp EV 3
Silver Holy Symbol 25 gp EV --
Leather Cap 4 sp EV --
Leather Gloves 8 sp EV --
Coinage on Hand: 1 gp 8 sp
Current Encumbrance: 9 (not encumbered)
Attacking: Morningstar: Attack = 1d20 +0(bth)+0(str mod) = 1d20
Damage = 2d4+0(str mod) = 2d4
Turn Undead: Turn undead check is made based on Wisdom check to all undead within 60 ft. If check is successful, a 1d12 is rolled for the number of common undead, 1d6 for extraordinary undead, or 1 unique undead (Increased by Cha modifier of +2). If a turning check is successful and cleric is 5 or more levels hugher, undead are destroyed,
Spells: At 1st level, Quamara can cast four 0-level and one (plus one for high Wis) for two 1-level spells, She usually prays for the following each morning: Detect Magic, Detect Poison, First Aid, Light, Shield of Faith, and Sound Burst.
Drives and Motivations: Quamara was cleaning pues in her temple when she came across an odd smelling odor coming from the last couple of seats. Upon further examination, the 'mold' animated and attacked her. Her neck was badly infected by an attack the undead slamed her with. Luckily she was able to call upon her deity to turn the beast long enough for another of her church to banish it. She worked with a cowl over her face for the next few months to save enough to have the scar magically healed and removed. From that moment onward, she wants to seek out and banish as much undead as possible. As well, Quamara has a problem with alcohol. She was given wine at a service one day. Tasting oh so good, she broke back into the head priests chambers that evening and finished another glass, and another, until the there were 3 empty bottles on the floor. Since then, whenever she enters a tavern or inn, she feeds her wine fetish, and drowns her problems away.
Appearance and Mannerisms: At 24, Quamara is long-legged, coming in at 5ft10in tall, 137 lbs. She has Medium Brown hair. Her eyes, strangely enough are diferent colors. Her left eye is Ice Blue while her right eye is Violet. She has never really cared as to why, just accepted it as her unique mark in the world. Quamara woke in her room one morning to find a note under her pillow.
It read: " Your doom is to know your ending long before it comes". No name or identifying mark accompanied the message. 3 years later, the note is still on her possession, and in the back of her mind.
Background: Quamara was born to a noble family with 2 older sisters and 1 younger brother. Both sisters went on to be very successful paladins of the Purple Heart, whereas she has always looked after her brother, who didn't seem to amount to anything in his first 16 years. After having her face decayed by the undead, she left with her brother to seek out undeath. On the second tenday out, they got more than they could bargain for. Attacked by a group of ghouls, her brother Zebb was killed in seconds. Her attempt at turning was futile, and only her 'invisibility to undead' spell saved her. She fled, with tears in her eyes, and sadness in her heart.
Several days later, she found a tavern in a small down-trodden town. The first and last thing she remembers doing for the next 3 days was putting the wine bottle to her lips, drowning her misery in the bottle. Down, but not out, a group of adventurers spots her passed out on a table top, and the next part of her life begins.....

I'd like to, but going by my experience with Rhu's Friday game, I'd be lucky to make 1 in 4 games.

Game was cancelled this week, not enough players.
Re: Adventures in Áereth (Friday nights, players wanted)
I am hopeful that in another 2 to 3 weeks I'll be breathing normally enough to start playing not only in this game, but all the others I have been missing as well.
