Re: Knights of the Crusade

Post by gabriellyon »

It would seem that I have become the local C&C demo guy for our local flgs. This being the case I would be interested in joining the knights, especially if there is info that I can use to advertise our demos or help to run them. I am already a society member. What do I need to do to also be added to the knights role? Also do we have to submit games before they are run to get credit for them or can they be submitted after? I have 12 hours of scheduled games just from free rpg days with plans for 32 to 38 hours coming up this fall. Thanks for all the help and support.

PM tylermo. He is the game coordinator. He can give you info and support for demos and such.

Yeah. I know Serl. But I saw the speaker button in the chat and had to resurrect the 'zilla joke. :)

That's cool you still have them. Hey AC, will the chat do sounds? *GRIN*

Well as Dawnrazor noted in another thread, content is starting to go up in the Knights of the Crusade Library (and there will be a lot of it) as it is approved by the Trolls. Two adventures so far. It has been a long wait but I am really happy to see this happening finally. :D

Well, I added a little contribution to the site in hope of lots of C&C coolness and to inspire people's creativity.

If you guys like it I might make C&C versions of more adventures in the future.

Thanks Rigon. I'd need to do a heck of a lot more editing on them for consistency and a few spelling errors and such before that could happen. *chuckle*

500+ Posts = Knight of the Crusade

Post by arcanechimera »

You can now apply to become a Knight of the Crusade based on the number of posts that you have on the TLG forum. If you have over 500 posts, that alone qualifies you for Knight-Errant rank. That will give you access to the Chat, Knights Downloads, and other private areas of the knightsofthecrusade.com site.

There are members here who have contributed so much to the community by helping each other, posting content, links to sites, and much more. We felt that we should honor those of you who have put so much into the community over the years.

You can apply by logging into the site and going to:
http://www.knightsofthecrusade.com/knights-signup

Just choose Knight-Errant and select Forum Activity like it says in the picture below.

Dawnrazor, GooglePlex and everyone else who added to the KOTC downloads, I looked over your adventures and critters and Domesdays and other materials. Definitely add more. My 105 page adventures submission has been approved and should be available soon. Also, we're going to discuss a standard formatting to establish a standard KOTC presentation for adventures and other submissions in the near future. For now, just keep digging out all the stuff you've written and submitting it. I want to see all of it and I know there's tons out there people developed for their home campaigns.

Love what I've seen posted thus far! Keep it coming! We have GMs running hobby shop games who need more adventures.

Also, I'm coordinating with TLG to expand on the KOTC business plan. Once that's done we'll have tasks and deadlines determined to expand our organization. Also, I'm bringing on board a KOTC secretary to compile lists of everything and anything we need so we can organize our resources.
Finally, refer more people to KOTC. We're around 150 members, but the TLG forum has 10 times that so let's get those members signed up! Reiterating Stephen's call to arms!

Good things in the works. :)

We want to streamline the C&C Society registration and Knights upgrade process. Mainly by changing the homepage and signup pages. The members page may be changed as well. Once it's easier to understand and use, we are going to send out an email to the Troll Lord Games mailing list. That should get quite a few more people into the KOTC.

I found out how Pathfinder Society is organizing their nationwide convention and game day events which, if you haven't noticed, have had major turnouts of both GMs and players. Here's the cool part. Any gaming society can do the same at no cost. Pathfinder I figured out your secret strategy. Now all we have to do is "wake up" the ranks of the C&Cers and we could be every bit as big as Pathfinder Society.

Organized play is the name of the game! We are going to add it to the Knights of the Crusade website. You'll be able to post games that you are running at conventions and game stores. They will be listed there, then broadcast to the larger community via sites like Facebook and G+.

I will be sending an email out regarding this to people who have and are running games at FLGS's and conventions. If you are interested in getting involved in organized play, please contact us.
