I could say that your character went through a magic portal into the world of Oerth if you want. Could be interesting.slimykuotoan wrote:Could we just continue with our characters hen? I'm thinking you won't do Aihrde again right Kayolan?

Guys, if you want to just keep your characters, it would be much easier to just change them over to GH characters.
Coming to GH from another world would be way too much of a change for you to get by, take languages for example, none of you would even know how to converse with anyone in that other world, short of body language and expressions. You would not have access to your gods either, not enough for a cleric to have any spells or turning at least. So, if you really really want to keep your characters, convert them to GH characters and just have the events that happened already as your characters' background and say it happened in an area of the Flanaess instead of Aihrde.
Frankly, I think it's kind of weird to keep your Aihrde characters or to even change them to GH, but that's me and I wont let my own personal preferences affect this if it means that much to you. After all, it's your character and I want everyone to have fun.

Re: Up for an old school 1st-3rd print game tonight?
Not at all weird. Characters are characters and classes are classes. My clerics are the same in Aihrde, Forgotten Realms, Ravenloft, Greyhawk or Dragonlance.
Greyhawk is in my world of Aihrde. It all works.
Now, if you're going to tell me that the orcs, goblins and gnolls that I plan on taking with me through the portal cannot communicate with orcs, goblins and gnolls on Oerth, then yeah, we got a problem!

It's kind of like Star Trek, were everyone knows the same language, and it's English. All the orcs, goblins and gnolls everywhere in the multiverse know the same language of their race, just as all humans everywhere in the multiverse know the same common tongue.Rhuvein wrote:Not at all weird. Threepio the goblin: "Of course I can, sir. It's like a second language to me..."

I'll always have GH and Erde as my campaign worlds. GH for the originality and for Gary - and then Aihrde for expanding and improving (in some ways) on what GH did. I have always felt that the Trolls payed homage and honored GH when they created Aihrde, and at the same time - gave it additional life based on their gaming and real world experiences.

Now for the accounting of treasure. Let's see if we can get this done out of game. Here are the two lists, the first of which is to be divided among Aethelrand, Marth, & Smoke. The second of which is to be divided among Aethelrand, Marth, Smoke, and Wolfgar. These lists are everything you have acquired, minus what was split up previously (after Alfis the Ghezir's brigand outpost was taken out):
AETHELRAND, SMOKE & MARTH'S LOOT
124 pp
1,307 gp
1,102 ep
2,055 sp
1,266 cp
5 platinum ingots, worth 1,000 gp each
29 gold ingots, worth 200 gp each
40 silver ingots, worth 20 gp each
garnet, worth 100 gp
bloodstone, worth 50 gp
10 chunks of carved malachite, worth 20 gp each
golden altar service, worth 525 gp
gold and silver mirror, worth 225 gp
silver incense burner, worth 75 gp
2 silk bags of incense, worth 25 gp each
box of fine candles, worth 10 gp
a two-handed sword with a decorative hilt, worth 60 gp
6 finely crafted and decorated long swords, worth 100 gp each
3 suits of ornate plate armor (human-sized) worth 600 gp each

chime, worth 20 gp
mandolin, worth 20 gp
5 gems, worth 50 gp each
unidentified potion
4 magic golden apples, worth 150 gp each

Re: Up for an old school 1st-3rd print game tonight?
Game is on tonight, if anyone is able to make it.
Someone asked me last session about the possibility of exchanging some of the items they found for gems. That character wanted to search for a person that could facilitate such a trade. Here is what he has found:
Elmorth the jeweler is the lone female elf in White Dragon Run and her worthy grace and beauty attracts attention from all in the villiage. She is especially interested in any rare items or precious metals coming from out of the Skaths. She will buy items at 80% of assessed value, and will sell items for 110%. She currently has on hand: 45 gems worth 100 gp each, 20 gems worth 250 gp each, 5 gems worth 500 gp each, and 7 pieces of jewelry worth 100-500 gp each.

Re: Up for an old school 1st-3rd print game tonight?
Well, I am the lone male elf in white dragon run, so I think we can make a deal, if you know what I mean (wink wink). What I suggested is we sell the heavy items for portable gems. So, I do that with all of my share that is too heavy to carry. Maybe the others will do likewise.Kayolan wrote:Game is on tonight, if anyone is able to make it.

P.P.S- can't wait to explore Greyhawk's wild coast. This is going to be good!

Things are looking better, so I hope to be able to game!
[Aside: Kayo, just thought I should mention (as I meant to before) that most of us that game online usually have 3 hour sessions - which is perfect for. So, I mostly won't go past 3 hours.]
