I'm not sure this is the right area, so please forgive me if it isn't.
Anyone picked up Monte Cook's massive Ptolus? I'm wondering how easily it would convert over to C&C.

Hey Brian - welcome from a fellow rpgnetter.
Ptolus was designed if memory serves to take advantage of every trope that D&D adds and make some sense out of it. C&C's compatability with 3.5 is defintitley there but you may lose some of the flair that you get from all the templates, feats and nuances present in Ptolus, i.e. things may seem bland. My personal reason for running C&C is that I wanted to leave all that flair behind so ymmv.
The general city concepts of Ptolus remain the same and it would be a grand place to adventure.
I know it's not really a definitive answer but it should work just fine.

Here's a link to a brief discussion on this board from last month - re Ptolus:

Incidently, someone posted a link on ENworld to the Ptolus Bonus Map Pack free download if you're interested. The maps look excellent.

Thanks for the link, downloadable maps are always useful.
You're welcome. Yep, I always like to check good quality maps, as I seem to find stuff to use or I'll get some ideas for my own map creation.
