I hate camping. Jim Gaffigan and I agree...

Hardcore. Give me a pack, and a week's march into the wilderness. Even namby-pamby camping is fun when with a good group of fellow campers. I contend to this day that there is NOTHING like playing D&D/C&C outdoors by firelight. Yeah, sure you get mosquitos and the rogue ember that scorches you character sheet, but that is part of the charm!

The nice thing about mountain camping...the air coming down off the glaciers. Nature's air conditioning.

There's nothing rednecky about that! If you got the power, why not sleep in comfort? That's all good. I was camping this past weekend in Ohio, and yeah the temps were in the mid to upper 80s (F) at night! F-that. Get you some sweet AC.

There's nothing quite like the feeling of roasting marshmellows by an open fire, and improvising a wood stove next to a fireplace to make nice wood-grilled meat.

Real camping survival style or that namby-pamby Coleman way? I'll go for the first one.
Yeah, I just don't see you doing the "survival style." No offense or anything.
