Hex Map is up...

Post by Bowbe »

unless otherwise mentioned the hex map of the entire "known" area of the Duchy of Karbosk from the haunted highlands is up at RPGNOW!
http://www.rpgnow.com/product_info.php?products_id=7566

One thing I always get $h1^ about is creating too much. Well, this would be the first part of that too much creating. FREE

Deities coming soon.

P.S.

Do I need to post a different pic of Ashley to get more people to look here?

I don't mind looking at scantily clad and attractive women.

I got the map hours ago.

You can print in black and white by setting your printer to do so. Takes about 5 seconds.

Hmm I guess my printer just doesn't like it because when set it to black in white, I still get all the shading etc from the map showing the contoure etc

See, Arioch, your asking for a black and white color scale map, where as Bowbe/Case was just telling you how to print out as B/W. Big difference, and would require redrawing it.

If you have paint (photoshop even better) you can import it into there and see about removing the colors that give you that irritating shading when you printed the B/W.

My wife is seeing if she can alter it to print nicely in B/W. If she is successful I'll be requesting e-mails. She says that it being a pdf format complicates things, but she will see.

Done

This is just a small version to show what it looks like. Click on the image to see a 25% version. I can adjust the contrast/brightness if desired etc. Not sure of what to do or how/if am able to share. Would the Trolls like to have a look ?

That looks to be greyscale. Black and white would mean the main features are black and all the other areas are white. Hence using a LOT less ink. Yours still requires coloring pretty much the whole map/page.

I think that this is what they were referring to in terms of B/W ... it would be more technically correct to use the term greyscale.

The map, as is, won't be able to print in the manner you describe unless you actually import this in some form of paint program and alter the colours yourself I'm afraid.

I'm fond of the amber color myself. Besides. I print far more text than I usually do pictures so it's my black cartridges I'm always trying to conserve.

Is this better?

It's at 25%, so I have the full size...

It's still got bits of "extra" that would need to be removed by hand probably... I'll see what I can do.

The one I posted is a "shrunk" version. It looks way better at full, but I didn't post it 'cause I'd like to hear the official word on this.

It also has some ugly areas that could do with some fixing and the hexes are difficult...

Yeah, but since this is going to be the players map I like the "faults".
