100 Treasure Troves Treasure Type 1 PDF
100 Treasure Troves Treasure Type 1 provides the Castles & Crusades Castle Keeper with 100 ready-made treasure troves for use in any campaign. The treasures included on these tables were generated using the standard method presented in the Castles & Crusades Monsters & Treasures book. If you need a Type 1 treasure, simply roll d100 and consult the table! Though designed for use with Castles & Crusades, 100 Treasure Troves can readily be used with any d20 OGL based fantasy role-playing game. Here are some examples: #18: A small sack (1 sp) contains 33 gp and a potion of cure light wounds (300 gp). #35: An ivory draughts board (250 gp), 12 gold playing pieces (10 gp each) and 12 silver playing pieces (1 gp each), each piece depicting a dragon of the appropriate color, all contained in a specially-designed cedar case with gold and silver inlay depicting battling dragons (125 gp). #61: Seven large sacks each contain 491 cp, 68 sp, and 5 gp; the fourth sack contains a crown of silver with a gold centerpiece in the shape of a lion rampant (500 gp). #94: A small wooden chest contains 83 cp, 300 sp, 34 gp, seven pearls (25 gp each), and a magical hand axe +1 (1,000 gp). The series will continue, with one PDF per Treasure Type for each type 2 to 20, each with 100 Treasure Troves, followed by 100 Dragon Hoards. 100 Treasure Troves Treasure Type 1 includes 100 treasure troves for merely $1! Yup, I'll be doing one for each of the 20 treasure types, plus a 21st for dragon hoards. I plan on doing one or two of these short PDFs each week, in between working on Wilderlands of the Mystic Realm. Some will be the Treasure Troves; there will also be the generic series 100 Exciting Encounters (12 of these, likely, for average party levels 1 to 12) and the Wilderlands-based Sandbox Series, each featuring a 5-mile hex fully detailed with hamlets and lairs (in keeping with the small nature of these PDFs, none of them feature large villages, towns, or cities, needless to say). I find that working on one thing continually burns me out quickly, so these are a way to keep from burning out on Mystic Realms. They also keep my products in the mind and eye of the PDF-consuming public, which is all important for sales of existing stock. And priced at ~$1 to $2, they offer gamers a cheap and easy-to-use product that they can adapt to their campaign as needful without having to buy a whole book. And later, of course, they can be stitched together in print format... _________________ James Mishler Main Man, Adventure Games Publishing jamesagp1@gmail.comhttp://adventuregamespublishing.blogspot.com/http://jamesmishler.blogspot.com

Well, I just downloaded it, and it looks really handy. It's going in my GM Folder of Awesomeness. Keep making them for the different types, and I'll keep buying them. _________________ RPG Blog 2: Gamer resources, news, reviews, and commentary, from the Old School to Small Press. Updated regularly!

I concur that this is a very handy product on its own, but were a complete set put together in book form... that would be a must buy. _________________ Unjust laws exist: shall we be content to obey them, or shall we endeavor to amend them, and obey them until we have succeeded, or shall we transgress them at once? -- Henry David Thoreau

Does this mean not a single new thing is present, like no new magic items? _________________ If it matters, leave a message at the beep. Serl's Corner

Nope, that is in another PDF. The only thing new in this is descriptive text of some of the treasure items. _________________ The Ruby Lord, Earl of the Society Next Con I am attending: http://www.neoncon.com/My House Rules: http://www.freeyabb.com/phpbb/viewtopic ... llordgames

I'm going to have to stop listening to the recommendations of folks here. I'm spending way too much at RPG Now & Noble Knight lately. (It's not that I can't afford what I'm buying. I just don't have time to read it all.) _________________ "I don't wanna be remembered as the guy who died because he underestimated the threat posed by a monkey."

A few unique items might be included here and there. For example, every table will have one unique cursed magical item to add some flavor. Gems are also rather more variant, and I add in new types and modify some gems by size and quality (large being worth 2x normal, poor 1/2 normal, etc). Unique intelligent swords will be described in detail (but such are, of course, quite rare and not on every table). Almost all the "Extraordinary Items" are described in some detail. But there are no major new items; that's not the purpose of these tables. I want this product to be useable with a standard Castles & Crusades campaign right out of the book in order to maximize its utility for the most players. New items will be found in subsequent Monster & Treasure expansions. _________________ James Mishler Main Man, Adventure Games Publishing jamesagp1@gmail.comhttp://adventuregamespublishing.blogspot.com/http://jamesmishler.blogspot.com

I look forward, mostly, to the intelligent weapons. By default those will be unique. _________________ If it matters, leave a message at the beep. Serl's Corner

Any chance we might see Type 2 Treasure Troves? I think we have used 30-40 of these treasure rolls already and they have been duplicated on a few occasions. A very cool, and extremely useful product this was.

After 100 Street Vendors I'm leering of taking on "100" anything... but as you all say, these were well received, so perhaps when I have an opening in the next few months I'll tackle 100 Encounters and Treasures 2: Level 2... _________________ James Mishler Main Man, Adventure Games Publishing jamesagp1@gmail.comhttp://adventuregamespublishing.blogspot.com/http://jamesmishler.blogspot.com

Re: 100 Treasure Troves Treasure Type 1 PDF
But better IMO. I loved these tables by Mr. JMG. Too bad we'll never see his official Level 2s. *sad face*

Yeah, I get some use out of the original at least.
