Cannot get "ning" to work at all.
A couple of us were there earlier in the evening.moriarty777 wrote:It's Friday night on April the 1st, 2011
Where are the chat regulars?
I will stick around for the next 15 minutes to see if some people start showing up.

Hey Tim, the old one uses a simple Java interface and was around long before that 'Ning Thing' was set up. Personally, I despise the Ning interface and the necessity of having to create profile for it. I tried it and very quickly dropped it but that's my own personal opinion and there might be those that prefer it. The java chat interface isn't perfect either and it can get a bit quirky at time when there are a lot of people using it but, more often than not, it has served us very well. Prior to the java chat set up on the TLG site, the C&C Society used a similar java chat elsewhere. We simply migrated to this one once it was set up and the older one was deactivated.timburns wrote:Hey all, I was looking through this string and I wanted to get some feedback on the Friday Night Chat. This was going on long before I started working the Steve, so I don't know much about it. What is the difference between the ning and old chat? I gather the old is still active? If someone will fill me in, I can also do some major advertising for it on Facebook, Twitter, the blog, etc. and try to get more people involved, maybe join in a few myself. One of the things we are thinking of doing is some sort of Q&A online at the chats, and an online game/crawl one evening with Steve and a few others. How does that strike people? Thanks, Tim
