Ok, I need help finding a spell , Head/Mind fog.
I have it in my notes but can't find the original source for it. Unfortunately, I have been combining the spell lists from O D&D, 1e 2e 5e, C&C Amazing adventures, C&C Haunted highlands, and C&C historic settings.
I have it noted like a 'daze' spell so it is probably an illusionist or mage type spell and it is lower level.
I've been going through where I though I got it from, but no joy
Has anyone seen a spell like that ? If so where is it ?
Can anyone save me from the baneful malicious effects of this mind fog ?????
Help, spell head/mind fog ???

Re: Help, spell head/mind fog ???
I found Mind Fog in the 2e Wizard's Spell Compendium (vol 2, pg 565-566)
Here is what it says:
Mind Fog
(Enchantment/Charm)
Level: 5
Range: 80 yards
Components: V, S
Casting Time: 3
Duration: Special
Area of Effect: 20-ft. cube
Saving Throw: Neg.
Mind fog is a physical block of fog that enables the wizard to weaken the mental resistance of his victims, who are allowed a saving throw at a -2 penalty to avoid the effects.
A creature who fails the saving throw suffers a -2 penalty to any saving throw vs. spell for these categories of magic: spells of 1st through 5th level which affect the mind directly, and all spells of the illusion/phantasm and enchantment/charm schools that affect the mind directly. For example, phantasmal force is a mind-affecting spell; phantom steed is not.
The saving throw penalty is cumulative with penalties of other types. Affected creatures suffer the penalty as long as they remain in the fog and for 2d6 rounds thereafter. The fog itself remain for 3 full turns after it has been cast.
If optional schools or specialties are used, this spell affects the school of mentalism and any other specialties decided by the DM.
Notes: uncommon spell (ToM).

Good now I don't feel so bad
I wonder are there other spells added or cut out from earlier printings ?

Re: Help, spell head/mind fog ???
They added a bunch of illusionist spells around the 4th or 5th printing of the PHB.
