Hi guys,
Old question I'm sure, but how do you reward XPs when your PCs fight & defeat NPCS with classes?
There are several methods I can think of:
-basically calculate XP depending of HPs and special abilities as per the M&M rules
-give a flat 5% or 10% of the XP needed to reach the appropriate class level, as per the PH
-GM fiat
Let me know which one is your favourite. For simplicity's sake, I've always gave the PCs 10% of the XP needed to level up a class. For ex, if they fight a 3rd level rogue, I will award my PCs 250XP for a win against said rogue, 2501 XP being the XP needed to reach level 3 as a rogue.

Re: XP rewards for NPCS
Usually 5% of the XP the NPC would have based on class level with 1st level NPCs about 50 XPs.
