I gave one of my players a custom wand of wonder that he absolutely loved and the other players cringed every time he used it. Some of the effects of the first custom wand were:
A ton of camel dung falls on the target
Goats appear out of nowhere and trample the target
Target's armor turns to lead
1000 pound anvil falls on target
200 fleas infest the target.
An icy BM falls out of the sky and hits the target
The caster could be teleported in a random direction, be blinded by smoke billowing out of the wand,or have camel dung falling on him/her.
The player used the wand several times on a group of orcs and randomly rolled to the camel dung option several times and ended up suffocating the shorter orcs. Kind of like Biff in Back to the Future.
He lost his old wand (due to a his using the wand) and now, he wants a new one.
Do y'all have any suggestions for strange and unusual 'wonderous effects'?

Causes all within a certain radius to just talk, incessantly, about nothing.
A given random person, object, or creature, suddenly becomes the wand wielders favourite food source, which they must have NOW.
Similar effect as above, but the random object, person or creature suddenly becomes an object of lust for the wand wielder. With all manner of associated jokes to go with it.
Every object or creature within a given radius is suddenly flung in a random direction
A random target gets a cream pie (or any manner of dessert one might think of) in the face.
Everyone in a given radius suddenly feels an overwhelming itch they can't deny scratching, or seem to get rid of.
Take a page out of Harry Potter and suddenly have a given target, or area effect of chucking up slugs.
All non magical or natural armour just disintegrates. Could do the same thing with clothing.
The area abruptly becomes infested with gremlins, or faeries, or any other mischievous prankster type creature.
Accounting demons from the Inter-dimensional Realm of Statistics appear and start haranguing everyone in reach about filling out numbers in blank spaces on forms no one can find comprehensible.
Everyone in a given area of effect finds themselves suddenly enclosed in an invisible shrinking cage constructed of ego crushing insults. (inspired by a Alan Dean Foster Spellsinger novel)
Little yellow creatures start appearing in the area who start saying "Pika Chu!" in annoying squeaky voices.
A horde of rabid squirrels charge into the area and start attacking everyone in sight.
Bubbles fill the air. But on contact with any surface, they explode with the concussive force of a 5th level casters fireball.
And that's just off the top of my head.
