There was an update last week that they are at the printers but the supply chain issues has slowed the processes down.

Err... Well Kickstart backers have the digital but looks like it's not available yet for everyone else. I'm sure once the books come back it will be made live.

So if it is at the printers I hope it will be available for November. We'll see.

For those that haven't pre-ordered yet, CoolStuffInc.com has the Player's Guide for $28 and the CGK for $35. Pretty good deal!

I hope the new phb doesn't have red text; I find that far too hard to read.

Hmmm... interesting. I found this post where Stephen says there has been almost no supply chain impact upon TLG.

Yep that's the one I was referring to... That part that I guess I held on to was

Printing Delays: Covid hammered our larger print partner, where we have our hardbacks printed and they have suffered so many absences that their print time went from 3-4 weeks to 5-7 weeks. I suspect that they have had the same issues with getting supplies. Even though it is local, there are all kinds of problems all up and down the chain.

Well, that's the weird thing. His short-version explicitely says any delays have nothing to do with the supply chain delays, and yet his long-version story here suggests that there have been some supply chain issues. So it seems a bit contradictory.

You've nearly got a haiku there. With a minor tweak...

If you were part of a kickstarter that includes a digital copy you can email them and they’ll hook you up. Or at least that’s how I got my pdf of the players and the new castle keepers guide.

Is there a difference between haiku and Yoda speak?

In general I cannot keep up with all the activity going on right now... lots of anvils in the fire they have..

I saw an unboxing video for the new PHB which raised some concerns about the printing since it looked like there were issues with cutting pages off and centering. In terms of content, however, I'm curious about the monk. Steve had said they were changing it a bit. Can anyone tell me what the tweaks are? Did they give them better martial arts damage? That was the one thing they really nerfed from AD&D. I don't care about lots of the other abilities. I just want my monks to be kung fu badasses.
