I had no idea you'd been working on this for that long! I can only imagine the sense of accomplishment (and relief!) felt as this puppy gets ready to go...

Come, my friends,
'Tis not too late to seek a newer world.
Push off, and sitting well in order smite
The sounding furrows; for my purpose holds

So excited...looking forward to getting the email that my preorder has been fulfilled.

Reminds me of the Bill on Schoolhouse Rock wanting to become a law...

Still confused about what's in the box. Definitely rules, plus tiles & counters of some sort?

So if I placed an order yesterday for FoB from the TLG store, when should I (roughly) expect it to ship? Is that a "preorder" or what?

Just got mine in the mail!!!

I haven't read the rules yet, but so far, my only real complaint is that you will have to do the cardstock/cardboard and cutting stuff yourself. But, the sheets have these very nice grid lines to help, and the quality of the artwork is absolutely gorgeous! If you have the skills to make your own cardboard counters, you'll have enough pieces and mapsheets for some pretty dang big battles, possibly even doing a 1-to-1-scale battle between two minor kingdoms.

Well, I got my copy of Fields of Battle in the mail. Dude, these are some slick mass combat rules, dog! Pretty simple, and WAY easy to convert from any 3.5 or earlier version of D&D, and classic style D&D-like games. Nice job Case. I think I will implement them immediately.

Got my copy this past week. There's nothing like a boxed set to make a gamer happy...well, unless it's a SUPER-AWESOME boxed set, then it's all the better! Well done, Trolls. Keep 'em coming!

Played this with Casey at Troll Con, so did two of my boys, Rigon, and Rhuvein, and I am pretty confident in saying we all loved it! I am really looking forward to putting this to use in my home/online games.

Simple, pretty intuitive, and easy to adapt, just like C&C itself!

I tried to order this through my FLGS, but they say that none of the three distributors with whom they work can get it. They were able to get other TLG products, such as the C&C Players Handbook.

Any ideas on what to tell them, or should I just order it through the website? I usually try to order things through the FLGS, both to save on shipping and to increase the visibility of the products I buy.
