After Winters Dark: Aihrde Fantasy Adventure Setting

C&C Adventure Setting

Saddle Stitched, $19.95, Folio

TLG 8015, ISBN 1-931275-46-7
http://www.trolllord.com/newsite/cnc/8016.html

The World of Aihrde is the official Castles & Crusades adventure setting. The book comprises a detailed history in which the whole of the world's development is laid out as a penelopian tapestry. Aihrdes unique design allows Castle Keepers and Players alike to customize and adapt this unfolding tapestry of adventures to their own design and style of play.

A world like no other, Aihrde has a true coherent historical framework, with a depth unreached by any other adventure setting. From the cosmological origins of its creation, to the inner world, to the Winter Dark Wars, Aihrde offers a complete picture for any adventurers background. Aihrdes unique features are only strengthened by its familiar trappings and classic feel of dragons, orcs, goblins, elves, dwarves and more. These classic aspects of most fantasy worlds are highlighted by wholly original creatures such as the Gottland Trolls whose life times of evil deeds root them to the ground like old trees . . . .

This 24 page primer serves as an introduction to the world of Aihrde. Originally published in 2000 as the After Winter Dark Campaign Setting, this primer revises the world of Aihrde for the Castles & Crusades system. It includes a brief history of time, cosmology, and descriptions of geographic and geo-political entities as well as notes on the calender, maps and more.

From the aging trolls of the Gottland to the red trees of the Rilthwood, adventurers encounter an exciting world where the present is alive with the past. It is Epic in its scope, accommodating both high and low level adventures with ease. Erde's boundaries are only as narrow as the walls of your imagination. It is a World of Epic Adventure.

Ultimately, the genius of this book is that everything builds upon everything else. ~ Review, Gaming Report.

I plan to "re-get into" Aihrde with this product. Look forward to seeing what this will be like.

I fell in love with the Codex of Erde a few years ago. As far as I'm concerned, this is my campaign world for the rest of my gaming career. I'll make a few tweaks here and there to personalize it to my tastes, but so much of this world is already to my liking. I can't say enough about its rich history and gaming potential.

I'm anxiously awaiting the C&C update. Is this the first of additional supplements or will this be all we see for a while? I know at one time a Rings of Brass campaign box set was being discussed and I don't know if this gazetteer replaces it or sets the stage for it?

I think I recall seeing somewhere that this was looking at maybe a June release? This still the case?

How will the C&C 24-page book mesh with the hardcover Codex? Will it replace all the 3.0 rules elements with converted C&C stuff or is it an entirely new product???

Ogma (my favorite deity, BTW)

It is a cleaning up and re-presenting the material

(in a much improved format) type of product.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Well, the purpose of their new printing machines was explained to me yesterday. The machines will definitely help things get done faster, as long as the machines run well. So hopefully they will get out soon.

Davis! FINISH the friggin modules so Steve can get the layout done! Your holding up my campaign! Plus finish up the "Aihrde" stuff.

Yes indeed, when're we gonna see this book? I almost hate hearing about cool new products that haven't actually hit the shelves yet because that means I have to sit there and drool with anticipation until they *do* come out.....

Oh, sweet agony....

Sounds like it'll take care of the twitches then.
Now you're just making me want to visit the guy down the road. He makes some of the best corn whiskey I've ever had. His blueberry wine is unbelievable as well.

Yeah...I just might have to pay hiim a visit this week.

I'm gonna try making some mason jar strawberry wine when I can get the wife to turn her back. I just hope she doesn't find the jar LOL!

Just what will the trolls do when a bunch of moonshine lit fans show up in Little Rock wanting the book?

Well, since moonshine bribes aren't working...

We'll box up packages of tastey gnome bits and mail them to the trolls if they get this much awaited product to us?

But that'd mean I'd have to come up off of my share of cigars, liqour and strippers and I'm sorry, I'm just stingy that way.

So did we ever get a ballpark estimate as to when this book will hit the shelves, or is it still "SOON(tm)"?
