Re: TLG 8508 Free City of Eskadia
Greetings all,
I'm at long last allowed back on the boards and can post.
The maps have not shipped yet, there was a massive problem with the printing of them and I didn't not feel we hold the books until they were ready (they should be ready next week).
This caused a delay in the out of the US orders which we just can't send too packages for. I though I had posted that here but apparently not.
My apologies for the delays. Shipping outside the US has become a nightmare (we are meeting with a freight forwarded company at Gencon that should solve this problem).
At any rate, maps should be out next week and shipped and then all orders fulfilled.
Thanks!
Steve

Hey steve who would I email about this, Because I think I was shipped my maps, I remember paging through them but they have disappeared, it could something as simple as haven't found them or they got recycled or I could be delusional. If i did get the maps and got rid of them, is there any way to order more?Troll Lord wrote:Greetings all,

Dracyian,
The map packs did go out, its the larger oversized maps that didn't get shipped, so you probably got those, but if you didn't email todd at [email protected] and Todd'll shout back at you.
Thanks,
Steve

update incredibly late but got everything in order
Re: TLG 8508 Free City of Eskadia
Just received my large Eskadia & HH maps. Wow! Very nice. My non-gamer wife thought they were quite impressive, too! Must be the history teacher in her.
Well done, Trolls!

I totally forgot that I preordered that high of a level to be honest then I got home and there is a tube and I got all giddy on the inside all over again
Re: TLG 8508 Free City of Eskadia
I've been reading through the book to set a beginning solo campaign with my son in Eskadia. Per my conversations with Casey/Bowbe on Facebook, it sounds like he may have misplaced/forgotten his password to the TLG forums. If anyone can help him out, that would be great.
As for me, I am compiling notes and digging deep into this setting, per a tip over Facebook from Casey. I had mentioned about setting an adventure in The Haunted Highlands but he said, since my son wants to solo as a thief, that Eskadia might work better. It does but it is certainly challenging because a 1st-level PC cannot take on the Jack of Lies adventure. So, I am scouring my Dragon Mag archive and the Internet for all I can find on urban adventures. & Magazine Issue # 8 has been a big help as has the d20 sourcebook, "City Works." Finally, sites like roleplayingtips.com have had some neat hooks I plan on using.
I have a page of written notes/questions about the Eskadia sourcebook so far. Once I finish reading intently, I plan on compiling them and posting here. There is errata in the book that I question, as well.
As a Johnny Cash fan, I find the grit and harshness of Eskadia a welcome change from the cities of fantasy gaming past -- as Bowbe noted above. The difference being that the guys that would be stuck in Folsom prison pretty much have the run of the city.
Sorry for my stream-of-conscious sort of post, but I'm trying to finish it before lunch is over in a couple of minutes.
Thanks for reading my ramblings,
Michael / Zudrak

Please consider posting all of this information in the Haunted Highland's forum so that we can use that place as the repository of all things Eskadia and HH!

Good point, Omote. I came upon this thread by searching for "Eskadia" and thought this might be the best place. After reconsidering, I'll post in the HH forums instead and simply add a link here in case future readers are led to this thread as I was. I know I appreciate on Dragonsfoot, for example, how old posts are still there for the reading and oftentimes folks link to prior posts/conversations that can shed more light on a situation despite being many months or even years old.Omote wrote:Please consider posting all of this information in the Haunted Highland's forum so that we can use that place as the repository of all things Eskadia and HH!

This endeavor will take me at least several more days as we are playing host to 20+ family members this coming weekend for our son's first birthday party.
Thanks and happy gaming,
Zudrak
