The core rulebook is rather compact and has 146 pages which is a welcome fact since I find it slightly annoying to make my way through hundreds of pages of rules to play the game.

...

Everything is handled mostly elegant in 25 pages which is very neat.

...

I very much like the ease in which super powers are handled by a few lines each. The basic message is everything works as you would expect and details should be discussed and decided with your GM (Genteel Magistrate). That is a very appropriate approach for a group of people who want to play and have fun together. It keeps things simple but also a bit fuzzy.

...

If you'd offer me the choice between the next great 5e fantasy module and exploring how the Victorian world would develop when there is SuperMankind around, I'd definitely opt for the latter.
I couldn't say it better myself !

Thanks Lurker! ;)

I'm also glad to know I'm not the only one sick of hundreds of pages in today's rulebooks. Its not necessary, and IMO is just to push a higher price point.

Though it does make me wonder....Is there demand out there to know more about the "Victorious Earth"? I've been leery of going into too much detail because it might hamstring GM's in their home chronicles. Yet there does seem to be some interest, if the Internet is to be believed.*
