Imp

Post by Lurker »

So, my younger daughter had her last soccer tournament of the season, and with that I had lots of time to let my mind wander.

In the wandering, I came up with some ideas. Most aren’t worth mentioning, some are interesting and may be seen (by you Monday night ne’er do wells).

However, one Idea that may be good for general consumption, a character or NPC – I’ll use the Heroic template set up

The Imp
A hero trickster , surprise, and being in the right place at the right time to startle the unaware opponent.

Attributes
A – Charisma B – Wisdom C – Dexterity

Skills
Disguise, roguery, target – also etiquette (which is applicable for the character) & martial arts if there are enough points

Powers (In an Imp / prankster package)
Intuition
Luck
Probability Manipulation
Entrap – Charisma
Keen sense – vision & hearing

Short comings

Pick as needed for the point buy & to develop a good character background – suggest dependent mundane, notorious, watched

Also,
Luck – only usable as a negative effect on an opponent . It can’t be used as a positive benefit to the character or their allies
Entrap – may trigger a ‘fight’ reaction instead of a fear/flight reaction (something like a save that exceeds the CL by +5, the opponent gets a free reaction attack against the Imp or their alley

Hope you enjoy and can find use for him

Pretty neat! I'd consider adding as a Shortcoming something like "Phobia: Smartass" or some such, since those type of characters usually are. ;) Or maybe its just the company I keep that makes me think so?

Mike, who's not a smartass. Really. Ask anyone!

of course I don't mind. Glad you liked it enough to share it.

good point, however, as someone that does his level best to scare the heck out of the girls at least once a week, I'd phrase it as something else. ;)

I'd share it with the G+ group, but I haven't been notified of the post yet. Guess I will have to go find it myself.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Oops, my bad Treebore. Liz did it and told me about it at lunch. She also told me to be sure to check with Lurker to make sure its ok and that's as far as my brain got. Its weird...I'm neither on FB nor on G+ but I often let the G+ group slip my memory. Probably because Liz is always telling me about updates on FB at lunch.

So, the obvious solution is for Robert to move to Texas and come over at lunch! ;)

The only moving I am going to be doing to Texas is for North Texas RPGCon.

No, just me. Afterwards I head to AZ to be with my eldest son, who still lives there, on his Birthday.
