Hello everyone! I have played AD & D since the 80s, but I am completely new to Troll Lord Games and the SIEGE Engine mechanic. I recently ordered the Victorious core rule book and the Night of the Jackals module and eagerly anticipate their delivery. Does the core book contain everything my family and I need to know about the SEIGE mechanics in order to fully enjoy all facets of the game? If not, I would be grateful for suggestions of sources that will fully educate us on how to use the mechanics and run the game.
Thanks for any help or guidance in this matter. I am very excited to try out Victorious with my family. We have been fans of Mike & Liz's podcasting work for the past several years (miss you guys on Save or Die!, but thanks for doing it as long as you did) and look forward to playing the game we heard them talk about for so long

Yes, Victorious stands on its own, it has everything you need to know, mechanics and all.
Edit: As for learning the mechanics, feel free to ask here for any clarifications, advice, house rule suggestions, etc...

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Hi guys, DM Mike here...
Yes Victorious stands alone and (I hope) explains all you need to know regarding the siege engine system. Ditto on what Treebore said, when you get the rules and give 'em a read-through post any q's up here.
Gm Mike
PS: Dunno if you're interested in other OS games, but we cover them on the Save for Half podcast linked in my sig. We even cover Moldvay-Cook B/Ex!

When we were at GaryCon this year we ran into a lot of people who didn't realize we were doing SFH. I wonder what we need to do to get the word out to the old subscribers?
