Well the storms hit a little before 2200, the mud room flooded first before 2230 - I was keeping up with what was leaking through the sand bags with the wet dry vac until the power went out.

Then it flooded again about 010 - 0200 and went well over the sand bags.

So, long night and I guess best the game didn't go.

Man Les, that sucks. Hopefully you can get dried out and there wasn't too much damage.

Thanks

It sucks, but it is just part of life here in NE Oklahoma. It is an annoyance for me, but I feel for the farmers here looking at their water logged wheat fields drowned corn etc. It sucks for me having to dry and re-dry my house (and tonight I finally got all but the last inch of water out of my storm shelter) and watching everything in my garden that didn't wash away (yes the flood can pick up 20 gallon tubs of dirt hay and plants, wash them down the road and dump out herbs tomatoes and peppers) die due to wind damage or too much water, but for them it is their lively hood drowning and molding for the 2nd year in a row.

To keep it interesting, Mother nature wasn't happy with just flooding me. She decided to let a tornado come out an paly Wednesday night ... After growing up here, and being a weather geek in the military and seeing oh so many sever storms with hail 30 - 50 mph winds, and funnel clouds , but never seeing in person a real tornado actually touch down, Wednesday night I had the joy of watching the storm pass over head with the rotation tightening, and then about a mile to the south watch it drop out of the cloud and kick debris up . Luckily it was out in the neighbors pastor (he raises HIGH $$ race horses, so had it dripped on his barn it would have been very very bad) and only kicked up grass and trash left from the last flood, maybe tore up a fence or 2, but no big damage.

Ack...I won't gripe about the tornados that came through Denton a few weeks ago anymore!

Hang in there...

It's all good. Just part of living in NE Oklahoma

If I couldn't handle it I could move ... to the deep south, but then I'd have swamps and hurricanes to deal with (had enough of that in the military), I could move out west, but then it would be deserts, dust storms and earth quakes (again, did enough of that in the military), up north, but then COLD , (yeah did enough of that in the military too), That leaves Texas, and it is too blame hot down there, and has tornados and hurricanes.

Sooooo yeah, I'm good with tornados and floods. At least here I have friends and kin to help me when needed (and that I can help when needed) so NE OK wins . ;)

Nice fight last night

Had to burn 4 Victory points myself to pull it off, plus what you all had to use. Expensive but worth it !

That said, for the next few levels, lets try and not fight anything that much more powerful than we are.

However, ... we have to free Saiban's Fey far sister - Bridget T'dian - from The Painted Prince. Soooo yeah we will soon enough be fighting an individual that is much more powerful than us, and we will also have its 6 demon dukes to contend with too ...

On that note, now that we have taken care of the murder mage, I will focus on studying ways to cure cold iron poisoned fey. Anything like 'dew taken from honeysuckle on a new / full mooned morning sun rise' anything fantastical or fairytale like. Anything we can use to quickly counter our gift to her to break The Prince's oath.

I've updated my character in page one of this thread

Now the question is how many total exp do we have, is it 5K total, or 5K plus what we had before the fight last night?

Thanks

Good game, good bait the mark, set the mark, hold the mark on the X, and then pull the trigger.

Had me worried for a bit when you kept delaying putting the ring on him, but it was good to build the suspense.

Icing on the cake was that nat 20 on my attack to drop him below 0. Oh so few good rolls for me, but that was the perfect time for one !

It was fun to write it up too.

Should be this game this week.

So, are we going to try and free Saiban's Lady Bridget T'dian, and make The Painted Prince our next BIG enemy, or are we going to focus on the arson, and deal with someone more to our 3rd level skill and power level ....
