Beneath the wool is a metal cage, only large enough to hold a good-sized dog. But inside is no dog...

I pinion that non dog to the floor, through the deep detritus of the past inhabitants that built up under the cage of the non dog. I then gather up the detritus of the past inhabitants from around the room and pile it up in a heaping, ominous pile around the rusted, creaking cage of the non dog. Then, I light the ominous pile on fire in a menacing fashion, burning the poor non dog to ashes with great trepidation. I then sit back, waiting in ominous fear, pulsing menacingly through my very blood. Waiting. Waiting. To see if the non dog breathes yet again, or never more.

Cool game gentlemen.

Ingly stared at the ghoulish horror standing before him, and shivered at the thought of this undead connecting with him on some level, mimicking the rapping of his own scythe.

The thing was an abomination in the face of the cycle of life, and it needed to be put to rest.

The druid gripped his scimitar tightly, and braced himself for the coming fight.

Hey gang! Is there any room in this game? I've been wanting to roll some cyber dice for a while now and Tuesdays are the perfect night for me. I couldn't help but notice you're lacking a rooooogue. ;)

Sure jaybird come on and join us! Rules for character generation are on page 1, first post of this thread.

Your starting XP is 6,110.

You can decide if you want to play a character that is from Aihrde or from Inzae, as the current group has traveled through a Ring of Brass a few weeks ago.

I'm also open to the idea of Inzaen PCs being goblinoid if you are interested :)

(We do currently have a minotaur in the party)

Do you have rules for goblins as PC? I checked After Winter's Dark and didn't see any player info. If there's a different book I need to pick up, I'll gladly do so!

I'll either go as a goblin or gnome rogue. Big shock to those who have played with me before, I know. ;)

I created my own rules for goblin PCs, here is the info:

DARKVISION: In a similar manner to dwarves, goblins can see in
complete darkness for up to 60 feet. Darkvision produces images that
are in shades of gray, but it is otherwise like normal sight. Goblins can
function well with no light at all. Bright lights, such as from a lantern
or other light sources, spoil darkvision. A goblin requires one turn to
adjust his or her eyes when a light source is extinguished before gaining
full use of darkvision.

HIDE (Dexterity): Goblins are practised at avoiding the prying eyes of
others in outdoor & underground settings. A successful check allows the
goblin to hide making him or her almost invisible. If a goblin decides
to move while attempting to remain concealed, he or she can still hide,
but will suffer a penalty to the check. At up to one-half their movement
rate, goblins suffer a -5 penalty to the check. At one-half their normal
movement rate to full speed, they suffer a -10 to the check. It is
impossible for a goblin to move faster than normal speed while hiding.
If the goblin is being observed, even casually, the character cannot hide.
If the observers are momentarily distracted, however, the goblin can attempt
to hide. This check, however, has a -10 penalty because the character has
to move quickly into hiding.

MOVE SILENTLY (Dexterity): This ability allows silent movement in
wilderness and underground areas. Goblins can move up to one-half the
normal speed at no penalty. At more than one-half and up to the
character’s full speed, the character suffers a -5 penalty to the check.
Any faster movement is practically impossible (-20 penalty).

RESISTANCE TO DISEASE: Goblins receive a +4 bonus to all checks
versus diseases. They also recover from illness at twice the normal rate.

SUSCEPTABLE TO FEAR: Goblins recieve a -2 to all fear-based saving throws.

LANGUAGES: Common, Goblin, possibile extras (Int+): Draconic, Sylvan,
Giant, Gnoll, Orc
SIZE: Small
MOVEMENT: 20 feet
TYPICAL CLASSES: Fighter, Rogue
ATTRIBUTE MODIFIERS: -1 Strength, +2 Dexterity, -1 Charisma
RANGER MODIFIER: +2 conceal, +2 move silent
ROGUE AND ASSASSIN MODIFIER: +2 hide, +2 move silent

Looks like fun! I'll give the little goober a whirl. Thanks for the info.

I'm assuming that the character doesn't have to be a bloodthirsty monster like the description of the race in After Winter's Dark. I was thinking NE or CN to start. Self-serving and cowardly. Just along for the ride with the PCs out of convenience/self preservation until they grow on him and become *sniff* friends. And we all learn a little something about ourselves in the end.

Nope, he doesn't have to be bloodthirsty. There is a tribe of goblins called the Kdyzj that trade with the humans to the north, they are more neutral overall. The other tribe is the Zjerd, they are more warlike and cause trouble for caravans and small settlements.

Ingly sat and pondered.

He then pondered more.

He was strangely beginning to feel some measure of contentment in this new world. And the fungi and molds were truly captivating.

I have a new initiate who wishes to learn the Wisdom of Wodun. Since this is a world that appears to know nothing of Wodun, I have no temple to send her too for learning. I hope Wodun helps me be up to fulfilling my tasks in bringing his wisdom to this world, through this new initiate. She has already been put through a trial of fire, and only the future will reveal her temper.

A Gargoyle that gets struck down,a nd returns to "life" time and again. Each time, bigger than the last time. Then, finally, picking up a statuette of it appears to keep it from returning? Or was destroying it 3 times the real magic?

Then rats, rats and more rats. All diseased, and now so are we. The rats are all dead, now will we?
