C&C Tuesday Nights

Post by Kayolan »

I'm starting up a game of C&C on Tuesday nights via Skype voice and Roll20 (or possibly Maptools if I can get it set up correctly). We start at 9 pm Eastern and stop around midnight. Our first game will be November 10th. Currently we have myself as Castle Keeper and Aramis, Dellamon, LordSeurek, rom90125, slimykuotoan, and Treebore as players.

PC generation methods are as follows:

...start at first level with zero XPs.

...roll 4d6 and drop the lowest die. Do this 6 times and then assign your scores to your attributes as desired.

...you start with maximum HPs at first level, but must roll and abide by whatever you get thereafter.

...choose a secondary skill (see CKG for details).

...choose an advantage (see CKG for details, if you don't have this tome, I will give you the information).

...you will get at the minimum half of the maximum starting money you roll for.

...choose any Norse, Aihrde, or Demi-human deity from Of Gods & Monsters or After Winter's Dark Folio as a patron deity.

...we will be using the hero & luck points option from the Castle Keepers Guide.

...clerical powers and spells from Of Gods & Monsters might be added.

...class and a half and multi-classing rules are as written in the 5th printing of the PHB (I'm pretty sure that the 6th is the same).

Please generate your character before game time and post him/her here.

I'm in. I will work on character concepts this weekend!
Achievement is the knowledge that you have studied and worked hard and done the best that is within you. Success is being praised by others. That is nice but not as important or satisfying. Always aim for achievement and forget about success.

Did I hear right, we should use the Codex books (Celtarum & Nordica) for character creation? Is this a themed game?

PHB with the optional stuff listed above. The game isn't themed to the Codex books per se.

Possible characters so far include a fighter, druid, and possibly a wizard/rogue but I can't say for sure at this point as nobody has actually posted their character. There might be some character generation going on during our first session.

Like I mentioned in lasts nights SKYPE game chat, today is my 25th Wedding Anniversary, AND my daughters 24th Birthday. We are only celebrating our Anniversary today, since my daughter has to work, and I think we will be home in time for me to game, but if I am not, you have an idea as to why...

greetings from your gamma world future. We spent last night huddled around a cellphone video of a fire, eating out of a tin can

Well, it wasn't that bad, but we lost power yesterday afternoon and they predict it may be another 24 hrs before it is restored :(.

This used to happen a couple of times a year especially in autumn but it hasn't happened for the last few so I got out of the habit of warning people of possible unexplained drop offs. So, consider yourselves re warned ;)

Sounds like it was a good game

Are there any free seats at the digital table perhaps? I am new to C&C though I have ran 1st and 2nd edition most of my life from behind the screen so to speak. Literally just got OSRIC and C&C this last week, and now I want to test the games out as a player for awhile, perhaps see if that inspires me to later move behind the screen again some day.

Welcome to the boards xandarr!

Unfortunately our game is full at the moment, we've got 6 players and that's enough for me. However, there are other games being run in these parts, you might want to ask around. When I run another game I can shoot you a pm if you'd like.
