If we are on for tonight, i will be home around 8 which is about 2 am GMT time. Some where around there, we just had daylight savings so it may be an hour off.

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

nwelte, can you turn this into a Maptools map?

If you need a PW for it its probably the same word as the last name as the founder of JG, if that doesn't help I'll have SKYPE up.

This is my character background story

My name is Demko D'Azka, I have lived and fought my whole life in the City State against the Orcs of the purple claw. My mother was Avalonian and grew up as a sailor but got tired of the sea and joined the City State in its fight against the Purple claws. There she met my father, a Dunael fighter who was a petty noble. His family lost there land due to the Purple claw. During his fight with the Orcs my mother and father met. They never did get married but had three children, my older sister, brother, and myself, being the 3rd child. My mother died while giving birth to me so i never met her, but i have her snow white hair and my fathers blue eyes. My father raised us to be warriors and we fought against the Orcs our whole lives. In the recent battle i lost my sister, brother and father. I was told they died fighting valantly beside a cave bear with a whie patch on its snout. I was not in the battle due to a serious injury, where my friend and Cleric Faltus was looking after my many wounds. While i was recovering from my wounds a small band of Orcs managed to penetrate our camp. We managed to kill averyone but Faltus was badly injured and there were no other Cleric's in camp. I rushed to his side and prayed to his god, Thor. Thor answered my prayer and I felt the rush of magic course through me. I have never felt anything so exilirating and from that time on Faltus has been teaching me the ways of a Cleric. I have taken time to mourn my family and find my way in life, but soon I will take up arms again and I will not rest untill all Orcs of the Purple Claw lay dead in there own filth.

BTW, nwelte, if you want an idea as to how your guild functions, watch the movie "Wanted".

Watch "Wanted", I don't think your Cavalier will have a problem with this particular guild.

Ah, yeah, that's a movie I've been wanting to see, I'll have to seen if I can rent it somewhere.

Also this talk of movies reminded me to watch the movie I borrowed from my school library.

I will be late Tuesday. I have no clue how late. I have a town hall meeting that starts at game time and it may take a while. I will make sure I have a server up for the game. I would say Rigon or Aramis could run my character, but I suspect they will run me into an untimely death.

I all seriousness, anyone can feel free to play my character. If I die, I guess I die.

Treebore- if you have any new maps you want to use (e.g. the villa we are headed for) you might need to get those to Nate before he sets up the server. Don't know if you can load them yourself when he is not there

I can, its just that nwelte knows more tricks than I do for successfully resizing them.

If he gives me a run down of how he re sized the maps last week I can probably do it.

Sent nwelte the maps. Hopefully he has time to work his magic, if not we'll have to live with my feeble attempts.

I think this is going to be an interesting game, especially using the AD&D 3 rules and the wilderlands setting. Definately going to be fun.

Yeah, I am having fun with it too. Plus you guys have already spotted a very significant clue (the very strong charm effect), plus you have caught on to the disappearances, and the re appearances.

So you definitely appear to be going down the best road possible.

I also intend on focusing on the role play as much as possible, with hopes to have as close to a 50/50 balance as possible.

Plus I intend on making conversation as meaningful as it is in L5R, and have your role play make the difference between life and death just as much as swords and magic does.

Plus I am looking forward to developing the Assassins Guild based on the one seen in the movie "Wanted". Not exactly the same, but very similar.

Yes, this is definitely shaping up to be a fun campaign. A nice mix of combat, roleplay, investigation, and travel is always my preference.

We seem to have a good balance in the party too, so that should help

I am enjoying the module we are in. There is just something about those old school modules. Great flavour. The Wilderlands seems really suited to that old school vibe. The AD&D3 stuff jazzes it all up nicely as well.

I just hope we aren't all killed by reptilian vampire priests before it gets off the ground.

Just so you know, Tree, I intend for Daithan to be a quiet observer, always scanning his surrounding for any signs of danger/suprises (it helps one stay alive longer in the wilds, especially when most of that time is spent alone). So when I'm being quiet, it's in character. He is unsure of himself as he has no real background to draw from, yet. Plus, I feel that a person who spends a great deal of time by themselves in the wilderness, hunting and living off the land, would tend toward the quiet type. At this point (1 game day or so), he feels the halfling is the most trustworthy (a fellow naturalist type).

As to his back story, feel free to run with it, as it is set up to be a surprise to Daithan as much as it is to me.

Yeah, I'm going to work up a lite background for Abnur. I don't want anything too detailed at this point. He is only first level; his survivability is not very high (hell, anything under 5th level to me is highly disposable). My characters get more "fleshed out" as they go up in levels, sometimes this happens without me even trying.

I've been very much enjoying the investigation aspects of it so far, although I didn't say very much.

I fear for our new friend the hog farmer though.
