Question about Module Headings

Post by Julian Grimm »

Ok we know the 'A' in the A series stands for Airdhe. And the 'U' In the U series is for universal. And I think the 'C' in the C series stands for classic. But what does the "D" in the upcoming CHimera's Roost and the 'R' in the Golden Familiar stand for? And while we're on the Golden Familiar why is it labeled R2 and what was R1?

AD&D per se is as dead a system as Latin is a language, while the C&C game has much the same spirit and nearly the same mechanics. --Gary Gygax 8/16/06

Blind guess here:

D= Davis, to differentiate that it's a new mod instead of a update of the d20 mods like the I series.

G= Gygax (Teeth of) as opposed to the CZ series

R= Referee for referee screen mod- if that's the case R1 might be the module that will ship in the Basic set box

Maybe?

My understanding was that the Module Numbers were as follows:
A - Aidhre
U - Universal
D - Dungeon
R - Rural
C - Castle

R1 was the Player Reference Character Sheets accessory.

I told Steve that they needed to sell each copy of the A1 module with its own bottle of steak sauce, but he didn't go for it.
