Hi all,
So earlier this summer I came to the realization that I made an error putting so much time and energy into a World Setting (Ilshara) as my 1st creative attempt - I got a lot of positive feedback and I was proud of it, but in the end I came to understand there's just too many good settings out there and most people don't really need another one. Hell, I'm more interested in Aihrde now.
So I focused my energies this summer on a different idea - put together something anyone could use in any setting or campaign. My first endeavour is an introductory mega-module called Of Heroes and Legends, and I've finally done enough that I thought I'd preview it here.
I'm about 75% done, and am aiming to submit it to dragonsfoot when I'm finished. Should be able to finish it and get it out later in the fall.
The module includes:
Map and mini-setting for Renshar: The Three Rivers Barony, a small pocket of land with one small city (Raenthorne), three smaller villages, and 6 other keyed areas for exploration, NPCs, etc.
Map and details on Raenthorne, a small city at the heart of the Barony.
5 Keyed encounter areas, including:
2 small dungeon encounters
The Isle of the Dead
1 Marshland wilderness adventure
1 major dungeon
Options and areas of suggested expansion.
3 New Monsters, including my favorite - "The Night Rabbit," a cuddly-little flesh-eater with acidic saliva.
All geared to start a party at 1st and give enough to move up to around 6th level.
I have created a space on my existing Ilshara website to preview some of the maps to whet appetites and spur interest. Again this is NOT an Ilshara module, but I'm using that site to post the preview pics.
Goto the link here and click on the "Of Heroes and Legends" Preview Maps section.

Hope you enjoy the preview and I'll be looking forward to sharing it when its done!

My new endeavours
You should pull that all down and pitch it to the Trolls for publication before you give it away for free.

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Well actually yes of course - I would be sending it to Steve and Davis first just for permission to put out via Dragonsfoot or my site anyway, and if they happen to like it...
