I was just notified I will be doing some guest panels at this year's Necronomicon....it is in Tampa, FL...anyone else going to go?

Definitely considering it. The family would love to get some gaming in. My only worry is that it won't have much gaming, and will be mostly cosplay, movies, and such, like the con we recently tried in Jacksonville. We really only go for the rpg, board, etc gaming, not video games or anime.

I'd love to head over there and possibly even meet you (time and circumstance permitting, of course) as the con is about an hour away from me. But darn it if Necro is so expensive. It's rather cost-prohibitive to buy a one-day pass. Maybe I'm just poor.

I agree about the cost actually (off the record), if you do come over on Saturday I would gladly meet up with you after my panels and we can head out to lunch and look around the con!

I had fun, did my panels and met some real nice people, the gaming room was packed. learned how to play the new Star Wars mini game-the one with ships.
Overall not bad for a few days off of work, next year it is moving back into Tampa so will even be closer to me so I am happy about that.
Dealer room was packed also had a lot of different stuff from LARP armor to jewelery and a few game/book/video merchants. Tim Zahn was there as well as Richard Lee Byers whom I spoke to for a few minutes, such a nice guy.
I will go next year again if asked.

I'm in Miami often enough. If this con was ever held while I was in state, I'd check it out. Alas, the timing wasn't right over the past few years.
