I am currently preparing a new Victorious adventure (The Clockwork Crimes) to be played in October at conventions in Arizona and Texas. It will be based in 1890s New York, and after the games will be posted as a free adventure alongside with the "Hyde and Seek" adventure already available with the Quick Start rules.
My question is this. Would people prefer the adventure to provide the same heroes and heroines from the first adventure (Angel, Fawkes, Ironclad, Fyrd) or would people prefer some fresh characters, preferably American ones?
Looking forward to the answers,
GM Michael

Re: Heroes or No?
I'd say new ones is the way to go. it's a good way to show off more of the game too!

Re: Heroes or No?
Good points, both of you. Besides, Fawkes and Fyrd wouldn't really fit into NYC much. John Henry will probably be the only repeat. Now I just need to find an artist to draw up the 4 other characters.

Re: Heroes or No?
There are a couple US-based international affairs (Fair / Exposition / etc) which went down in history as non-events (because they didn't happen) that might make for an interesting adventure....
New York City (1883) [World's Fair]
Washington, DC (1892) [Exposition of the Three Americas]
Either of these would allow a plethora of non-US and "worldwide" character ideas, like David Livingston.
As to the question: I would like to see a Wild West hero, one that left and settled down. Someone like Tesla, too. They do not have to be American, but they need an American mindset.

True enough, though I hate to give a specific date as it might limit someone's campaign. I am planning a future module (Evil in the White City) based in the Columbian Exposition of 1893 in Chicago. Still you're right that it would give a great rationale for foreign types to be in the city.
As for "Wild West"....Maybe Bat Masterson would fit that bill?

Yeah, I feel the no date. Conceptually, though, a world symposium of super-dudes and their villains could be a fun thing. Hmm. I now have an idea of the League of Continents. Yep. They're going to have a skull shaped HQ under a swamp, somewhere. Probably off Key West.DMMike wrote:True enough, though I hate to give a specific date as it might limit someone's campaign.
