Nintendo Wii

Post by serleran »

So, I'll be buying one of these things over the weekend and was curious what the better games are for it, especially RPG-related. I hope there is a Zelda game or three, but I have no idea since I've not bothered to care what came out, not having the machine to play them.

Zelda Twilight Princess is great. The Wii also has the Wii store where you can buy the older Zelda (N64, SNES, and NES) games (though some will require the GC remote). Funny enough I liked the Windwaker more than Z:TP.

I also really enjoy Mario Cart. Rainbow Road anyone?

For fun party type game , rayman ravin rabbids 2 or 3 are incredible.

tons of mini games you can play with friends.

i've also enjoyed Zelda Twilight Princess and the rayman ravin rabbids ('tho the latter are more rail-gun fun than very strategic). Mario Cart is an absolute blast. Rainbow road can be killer, although I personally have more trouble with one of the castle levels.

if you like music games, I have enjoyed pretending to be a rock star in Rock Band I and II.

A stinker: the James Bond title (Casino royale, I guess?). terrible.

I also have one of the WWII shooters, which is fun.

I'll second the Zelda games (especially Twilight Princess) - good stuff they are.

Xenoblade and Last Story will hopefully be coming to the US this year. Arc Rise Fantasia is an RPG coming out pretty soon as well.

Mario Kart freaking rules. I got it for my wife a few years ago right after it came out and I just recently unlocked everything in the game. For her birthday I picked up Sega All Star Racing. It is turning out to be a lot of fun as well.

I second the votes for Zelda Twilight Princess and Raving Rabbids. Also check out Super Mario Brothers Wii if you liked the old title. Paper Mario is also a good title.

I had gotten an Xbox 360 not long after getting my Wii, and I have to say that nothing has captured my attention as a video game like Oblivion: The Elder Scrolls IV. Unreal stuff.

Ghostbusters is one of the funest games i have ever played, let alone a wii game. I recommend going to a rental store and test drive what look good but definitely try bustin ghosts.
