The 4th printing of the Player's Handbook is fantastic!

Hey guys.
Just got mine in the mail today.
-The book just feels solid.
-The cover is a bit darker than my M&T which makes the yellow bands more golden and the green more regal.
-The cover art is wonderful - not too old-school and not too new school - just right!
-The little tweaks to the interior layout and the added content are great.
*Fantastic job Trolls! You guys have every right to be proud of this product.*
I would have paid $40 for this one (and may order another anyway).
Now to crack open "Of Gods & Monsters."

Mine arrived in the mail this morning, somehow ahead of the rest of the mail. Nice. I'll need to get another, though.

Dang it people. I am going to have to order mine. I have my softbound copy from GenCon, but my addiction to both hardbound rpg books and to new TLG stuff is a double whammy. I have been kind of waiting for the CKG *shrugs at incoming laughter* Well, I know there will be a collector set in a slip case with the CKG, M&T,and PHB, so I am trying to get by with my softbound copy (and old hardbound copies, lol).

Got my hard bound 3 days ago...found 2 typos so far.
The xp chart for multiclasses, both 2 and 3 classes look the table over carefully you will notice there are a couple of 1's missing.

No sir, I do not believe this is errata. This fact was brought up to the Trolls during editing and was not corrected.

I was pretty much the same way. Then I noticed how much wear and tear were actually on my other two PHBs.

As the Trolls have seemed to indicate, the PHB1.4 will be around for a good long while. The book is the best looking book TLG has put together to date. The construction is solid, the paper is perfect, and it really does look like a book that should be more than $25.00. With the bits of errata added in, and the new spells and updated classes (man, that new Barbiarian is just so awesome!), this is the definative Castles & Crusades Players Handbook.

You are correct Omote. This is not errata and was designed this way. Another example of this table can be found in Crusader issue 4 where this multiclass option first made its appearance.

I just suffer from RPG A.D.D. It had a shiny new cover, some flashy new pics, and 'fancier' classes. A win all around for my pea sized attention!

The new PHB books are slowly making their way out there. My FLGS in Cleveland Ohio is getting a supply of C&C stuff in today or tomorrow.

Yeah, it came fairly quickly to Canada. It's not like I live in a major city center or even close to one, but my FLGS got it pretty quickly even if they had to do a special order.
Now just ot read them and maybe post to get players to play it.
BTW I love the paper they have chosen. I wish more companies would take note and do the same.

Ya. Me and Steve had some long convos about that. Trying to find a paper that showed up both art and text better was a bit of a chore. I guess paper type isn't called what it used to be any more.

I'll seriously consider getting a second copy of the PH, if I get a group going. I can't depend on everyone getting their own PH (Though I will try) I don't want cheese powder fingerprints all over my personal copy. I'd rather get a players Players Handbook.

I'll add my two cents as well and say that this is an excellent product. Good job Trolls!
I really like the new Barbarian and Illisionist abilities.

Just got my PHB + M&T last week after sitting-on-the-fence for a few years about C&C or other old-skool/new-systems versus just using my AD&D 1e stuff (note: back in '80 when I started with 1e, I just never saw the need to up-editions after that, 1e had enough breadth, etc, for me).
Ordered the C&C books (CKG also...so I'll get it once out) because, after downloading the C&C Quickstart PDF, I was hooked on the ease, elegance, and versatility of this system -- not least is the ability to use all my 1e modules, etc. Wow!
And, lo and behold, these are simply gorgeous books. In all areas: layout, information, artwork (sweet!), paper (as was mentioned above), and feel!!
Now to study the rules so I can start a gaming group up here in the woods...and treat them ever-so-kindly and nicely, right?
