Count Rugen.

He killed my father. He must prepare to die.

Rhuv is a given, and I love roasted rutabaga, or rutabaga in winter stew so that is a close second!

Rutgar Hauer stole the movie Nighthawks from Stallone and Billy Dee Williams.

Great actor needless to say . . . and of course, he was awesome in Bladerunner.

Other votes, RuPaul and RGB!

I was thinking more along the lines of LadyHawk (cursed Paladin/knight) or Blind Fury. :)

I remember Ladyhawk, but never saw it and didn't realize Hauer was in that. Don't know Blind Fury.

Are either of these any good?

Thx.

Ladyhawk is really well done though it is not stellar and a bit campy at moments. But the story is pretty solid and very much Adventure trope. Blind Fury is more comedy martial arts type. Rutger is a Blind swordmaster and I remember laughing my self silly at times with some of the sight gags. Again, not an A-list movie but entertaining IMO. Worth the viewing time.

I played in a session of The Strange where one of the players made RBG. Her husband did Ronnie James Dio. Hilarious and awesome.

Another great Rutger Hauer movie is Flesh & Blood. Definitely not family viewing, but that goes for most of Verhoeven’s films. And for more recent fair, there are few movies like Hobo With a Shotgun.

Not for family viewing is an understatement. I made it through 40 minutes before I had to turn it off and was mentally messed up for the next three days the thing is so intense and grim dark.

This whole poll is total bullshit. It asks who is our favorite "Ru", but the leading option isn't a "Ru" at all. It's a "Rhu". With an "H". Not cool, internet. Not cool.

It also removes a lot of choice. No Count Rugen or Ruby Rhod, for example.

Had to duckduckgo those names - and whoa ~ Ruby Rhod looks cool. That's the guy from Rush Hour.

Might have to rent the movie.
