Why'd you choose the forum name and profile pic you did?
Just wonderin'
Pour moi, I DMed Queen of Spiders way back in the day, and my players at one point encountered an entire kuotoan complex. I liked the monsters ever since.
My profile pic is of Draupnir, a beloved character I adventured through the Haunted Highlands with (run at the time by Treebore). I'm a huge Conan fan, so anything barbarian is purty cool in my book.
And thou?

I used to play Arduin back in the day. I lived in Dave H.'s area and he ran games sometimes. The pic is of the most advanced and protective plate armor ever constructed. I love playing fighters.

Rigon is the name of my favorite character back in my 2e days. He had many adventures in the Forgotten Realms. My avatar is a colored pencil drawing of Rigon that Jaybird did for me several years ago as a birthday present.

Pretty much what Rigon said - Dynel is my second (and arguably favorite) character I ever played in D&D, from my 1e days (and subsequently remade in 2e, 3e, C&C, and probably 5e eventually). Of course, my avatar is of Eric the Cavalier who I consider the most believable character in the cartoon (and my personal favorite).Rigon wrote:Rigon is the name of my favorite character back in my 2e days. Treebore is my first character, is Robert written backwards with a couple of extra e's thrown in. As for my board Avatar, because I liked it and it looks "tree-ish". So thought it worked well enough for Treebore.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

It's a mystery...

My name (one that I've used since the days before the internet when I used to run a BBS) comes from the song "The Fountain of Lamneth" by Rush. Specifically it's from the 2nd part of the song entitled "Didacts and Narpets". Narpets is an anagram for the word parents.

Litzen Tallister was a name of one of my old (1st edition AD&D characters) and seemed fitting enough. As to the avatar, it's a little critter outside of a shop at the PA Ren Faire, a place the household goes every season at least once.

Kayolan was my last Lejendary Adventures avatar I played, he was a human from the Dual Kingdom of Morgaria and Rukinia. He belonged to an elite Soldier Order called The Hell Riders of Morgaria.

My name is Tyler Morrison. A friend of mine (since 1981) has referred to me as "Tylermo" since sometime in the 1990's. That's my answer in a nutshell.

Lurker : one of the nicknames I had (depending on the team I was working with) when I was in the military doing the Recon thing - Another was Brair' Rabbit ... both fit my personality to a t. For lurker, I could disappear in the background and just be there 'lurking' until needed. Then step up, do my thing, and blend in to the background yet again.
The pic - as a man of faith it goes without saying I'd be drawn to a cross. Then I love the Celtic artwork so ... (by the way, it isn't just here. I have Celtic crosses all over my house too. Right next to cowboy/rustic art, Greek statutes, renaissance - preRaphael art, and hunting clutter. Now that I look around my house typing this, I guess it is kind of jarring and eclectic ... Oh well, I guess that is why I like it here with you trolls
Hmmmmmmm let me guess ....

My Hebrew name is Reuven (Reuben from the bible - first son of Jacob), but could not get it on AOL in '93 without numbers attached ~ so I created an alternate spelling as it were, and stuck with it to this day.

Re: Why'd you choose the forum name and profile pic you did?
In my circle of friends there is a sub-species of the hobby that is called, "The Rats".
We came by the name decades ago when, at one gaming Con, a buddy entered our hotel room in the morning to find it awash with empties, half-eaten food, a few bodies, etc. Revolted by the sight, he declared that "This place is a pig sty!"
From beneath the covers I replied with a belch then countered, "No! It's a sewer. And we are the Rats!"
It seemed appropriate and so the appellation has stuck.

An ode to one of my favorite Looney Tunes cartoons, and I didn't want to be known as the other knight from that cartoon (Sir Loin of Beef).
