A Holmes Basic box set with uncut chits is up on eBay

Post by Treebore »

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

I can safely say if I bought this they'd remain uncut... what a pain!

Its similar to drawing numbers for Bingo. I suspect that is what they were inspired by.

I'd suggest posting that to odd74.proboards.com too; lots of Holmes love there. It really looks extra-fine in the photos. I was lucky to score just the book in brand new condition, but the whole set with module; almost want to keep it secret and steal it for 30 bucks :).

I don't have an account there, but if your willing, feel free.

Oh, and use that zoom feature on the photo's, the outside of the box does have some damage. Its only the stuff on the inside that looks pristine.

I gotta feeling that the action will be at the 1second mark. I think I'll go back and see what it went for.

Memories - I had the Holmes with the chits way back when. I couldn't wait to get real dice!
