Rap music and 4th Edition. Throw in liver and buttermilk and you have a buffet of things I hate.

Re: Roll a d6!
My wife informed me it wasn't "rap", but dance music.
You kids today and your dance music and telephones and Playboxes and Xstations and indoor plumbing. Bah. Back in my day, it was two ratty Players Handbooks, a third-hand copy of the DMG, a Monster Manual your little brother colored in and a copy of Rush's "Moving Pictures".

Re: Roll a d6!
HAH! Yeah, I saw that the other day. It's a good spoof. Its also really edition neutral in the words and actions. In fact, theres almost nothing you'd ever "roll a d6" to resolve in 4E. In older editions a d6 resolved several things so I'm guessing whoever made it is probably using D&D in general, rather than a specific edition.
Got a good chuckle out of it, that's for sure.
Would be happier if one could mention a funny spoof like this and NOT have someone reflexively comment that they hate 4E, but what are you gonna do?

Re: Roll a d6!
Kim is joking of course.
When I was down at TrollCON, Kim was in a game of 4E eating a fried in buttermilk liver sandwich on white bread. And then his phone rang . . yep, you guessed it, a RAP ringtone.
[I also notice Kim didn't have any d6s in his dice pile - he did have a d30 though!]

Re: Roll a d6!
I wondered about why a d6 also...until I read about it, and it's a spoof in the variety of Weird Al, for a song called something G6, so I'm guessing the name was to stay in the same rhyming pattern and be funny.
It is pretty good though.

Close but the song is just; Like a G6. The plane is made by Gulfstream Aerospace and its official name is; Gulfstream 650.Dead Horse wrote:the song it parodies is called "Rollin like a G6".

Edit: That was a lot better than I thought.
And, before you think it is some twin engine, little plane, chugging its way to the Yukon...
The G6 looks like this...

I think the parody is lots better than the original.

Did anyone else find it strange that the girl claimed she was a wizard, but was dressed like an archer? Am I nitpicking now? Yes, I do believe I am. Too bad more girls like that don't play tabletop RPGs. But again, I got a real kick out of it.

Re: Roll a d6!
I think she was actually playing a rogue, one of the other guys was doing the wizard (had an awesome shield spell)...she just happened to be the lead lyricist.mbeacom wrote:Did anyone else find it strange that the girl claimed she was a wizard, but was dressed like an archer? Re: Roll a d6!
The thing i think is weird.... no one but me seems to have noticed one of the monster extras, was missing his right forearm.
If you read the video comments...
They complain about is she a wizard, a rogue a fighter or a ranger.
She is seen to use a shield steal a wallet use the bow and talks about being a wizard.
I think she is a wizard in the sense of being really good at the game. Like the Who's song about a pinball wizard. Shes a D&D wizard!

I noticed the missing arm. I thought it was staged because they guy was supposed to be a zombie. Anyway, I'm adding this song to my game night play list.
