What did they do? I don't watch TV and I don't pay attention to any sport, so... ummm, are they undefeated or something?

They were 5-0 going into tonight's game. Az Cards played a great first half and led 20-0 or was it 23-3?

Anywho, the Bears roared back and beat them 24-23. They tried a field goal kick at the end - about 40 yards and missed. Very exciting game!

They got all kinds of lucky. 6 turn overs and no offensive TDs, and they still pull it out. Crazy.

The Bears offense tried to give the game to the Cardinals, and the Cardinals turned around and giftwrapped it and handed it back. Somebody needs to teach the Cardinals how to win.

Da Bears. yes, this game was a combination of luck and, toughness. Lucky because nothing seemed to go AZ's way and tough because the Bears stuck through that entire game looking not so good.

For sure. It's funny sometimes how a very good team can generate luck. Hehe, and it sure is nice when the defense can step up and pull out a victory!

Ha, well said. I was sure impressed with Leinart and the Cards during the 1st half, but I guess that's the key - you must continue that level of play for 4 quarters and for every second of the game.

But looking!! They showed their patience, experience and desire to win. That might have been the most impressive part of the game. They just continued to play hard and not give up. To me, the mark of a possible powerhouse team.

I like the way Urlacher put it after the game - it's all about the team - for five weeks the offense won the games, tonight the defense had to win the game.

Still, the Bear's QB needs to stop trying to score a TD with every pass.

That's for sure. "Sexy Rexy" as Muhsin Muhammad called him ( ) is no Brett Favre. And I don't know why the announcers made several comparitive comments along those lines.

I think that like Favre, Grossman wanted everything at once. They both tend to not take the safe dump off passes and try to force the ball down field even if the reciever is covered.

Leinart was very impressive, as great as the Bears D is it never shook him, and even after everything slipped away, he still managed to get them in position for a very makeable field goal. He may be the one to teach the Cards how to win. (Of course he still has a lot of teaching to do)

Denny Green's post-game conference was the best! LOL! I'm sure you can google it and hear it yourself if you haven't. It was priceless.

LOL. hehe, yeah that'd be me (and hopefully some others here). I meant to get over here but I'm still healing (4 tacos from Taco Bell and my first of several White Russians) and I'll be OK.

So . . . ughh, arggg, and acckkkk!

Painful, awful, and hard to watch.

The Weakest Link = Rex Grossman. He's good and will get better, but because of him the Bears are not "A" list just yet. They'll win a few more and make it to the playoffs, but when you watch the great teams with their superior QBs, you see how far Rex has to go.

Steelers and Browns fans are hurting much worse at this point.

White Russions and Taco Bell? For the love of Pete, don't do it! Your stomach will never forgive you...nor will anyone who shares the same bathroom as you!
It was a weird game, to be sure -- about 8 turnovers. My Patriots of New England, a forgotten team, are on the rise again! And don't forget, Peyton will choke come playoffs. Will Bears fans chant for Griese?

LOL. I'm cast iron stomach Rhu, no problemo!
Ahh, Patriot fan, yes they are very good. If only we had Brady.
Rhu smiles at the memory of the Bears over the Pats in 85/86 - he won't go there out of respect for friend Ghul.
Lastly, Peyton scares me. If he gets mad/hungry/serious, I just can't see any team stopping him. Let see if he has the heart to take his team all the way. 8)

Gotta chime in, respectfully though. I too am a die-hard Pats (and Bruins and Red Sox) fan. It was nice to see some payback today for 1985 (sorry, Rhuvein!), which I endured in college with a bitter heart since one of my roomies was a Bears fan. Despite the Pats' big day, the bears look very intimidating. Their defense is scary-good - maybe not '85 caliber, but pretty darned close. Still, the Pats are also looking good.

Go Pats!!!

I can't figure the steelers out - what happened? they were truly formidable last year. Did the O-line change a lot in the offseason? It seems to me that they are just lacking in intensity - perhaps the afterglow of the superbowl?

strange stuff.

I'm watching the Colts spank the Eagles right now. It's ugly.

Heh, wild and crazy game today. 10 turnovers for both teams, highest for any teams so far (and that's after 9 in the game last week)!
But the defense and special teams looked fantastic. But, I have serious doubts about the QB.

Heh, Troy Aikman said it again today after saying it last week, "Rex Grossman is the only thing holding the Bears back!".

Yeah, sure the Bears clinched the NFC North champion title, but without a consistant, strong QB, you can't win in the play-offs, much less win the Superbowl.

[Rex has got to step up, big time. Oh and I don't blame him completely, Lovie and Turner have got to call some plays that are more suited to Rex's game]

G

Mainly it is the loss of some key players on off. and def. Plus big Ben is having a really bad year, which is ok, but Cowher needs to bench him and play Batch.
