Re: Best ON SCREEN dragon.

The Smaug in the new movies is pretty awesome. The one my mind goes back to frequently is the Reign of Fire dragon, when it attacks the castle.

Re: What do you want to "hear"?

If the Trolls won't publish such a book, then do a blog like series on the official website. Then we can be sure G+ and FB users can know about it.

Re: What do you want to "hear"?

Ok, maybe a "In my Chronicle" sort of section where Liz and I discuss how we have a power used in our home games....That way guidelines are given without "official" stamped on it. :) I've always felt a bit ambivalent about describing my "origin" game for Victorious. On...

Re: What do you want to "hear"?

Just concrete guidelines on what their chosen power can do. Its not anything I think you should pre define, its just that when the players describe to me how they want their power to work, I look at my other resources for mechanical guide lines. Why reinvent the wheel when I already own several of t...

I am sick, food poisoning. It is hitting me pretty hard, so I may be too exhausted to play tonight. I should use the word "probably" instead of may.

So you didn't play online with all the Kenzer forum members when just HM Basic was out? No, I didn't start any online play until a few years ago; but I'm currently not doing anything online. I guess its just your frequent posting on Kenzer that made you seem so familiar, then. I haven't been postin...

Hi George! Pretty sure we played HM Basic and Aces and Eights together. On line and maybe at Gary Con 4 or 5 years back. I'm pretty sure we haven't; but I do recall watching you run A&8s at GaryCon one year, so we have met face to face. You had hit up Wal-Mart for some plastic cows and horses. ...

My game today as long as Mike can make, otherwise its probably Lurkers, unless Rigon wants to run an extra session.

When I play something other than C&C its usually been Swords and Wizardry, but we haven't even done that for at least 2 years now. Only C&C I even play or run right now is Rigon's game. Everything else is CoC, Traveller, Eclipse Phase, Victorious or something else.

Re: Writing Adventures

World settings are a very different creature from adventures/modules. I use published settings all the time. Long ago I decided nothing is "canon"until I decide it is. So while my campaign will have a lot of similarities to what is published, none of my players should expect it to be close...

There definitely seem to be a lot more "mega modules" over the last 17 years, thats for sure. Especially from Frog God Games and Paizo's AP's. Then there are the two "Worlds Biggest" books, not to mention Ptolus. Mongoose did that Drow War series. Yeah, more material than anyone ...

Re: Advanced Labyrinth Lord Kickstarter

I don't think anything can be called "intuitive". 1st Edition D&D was never anything I would call intuitive. It required a lot of memorization. Once everything was in my head, I may have described it as intuitive. I don't recall. C&C certainly wasn't intuitive for me until I had my...

Re: Writing Adventures

Yeah, I prefer the little details. Thats probably because of how many times what I thought was a little detail became something a player latched on to and turned into a major story line for the group. So what is minor or boring to me, isn't necessarily so to all of my players. As for highly detailed...

Mike Hope all is well with your family emergency! Well, we had the first fight and everyone there got to use their powers and see how effective they will be.
