Sounds fine to me, but consider the druid armor and weapon list for the cleric/druid. or a d6 HD. Everything else, poof! Done! Awesome sause.
It's really cool you have such a well defined and atypical setting.

QUestion: THe only internet connection on this old box is an ethernet card, so i bought a USB Wifi adapter... but, duh, it's designed for Windows... is there any hope I'll be able to use it and have wireless internet on this thing?

Once I get a clue and get it running I'll keep y'all posted. I htink the DVD drive on the PC I'm zorin-ifying is toast, so I have to load it from a thumb drive... and the drive i used wasn't blank first so it didn't like, execute? is that the word? So i figure i need to format the thumb drive first....

What worked for me was always, roll initiative, and if the PCs win, ask them what they are doing. Then the NPCs react. or visa versa, as in, roll initiaive, PCs lose, Hey, this guy hits you, this guy misses you, this happens... etc etc... if you lose initiative, youre on the defensive, so planning/d...

I'd say the last one is too real, too soon to be fun.

That said: I dig the realism to this! fallout! nice! killing towns guards?! crazy bad move! Not sure of your magic level in town, but how about a powerful wizard is hired to harry the PCs... perhaps for years to come...

Yeah, Legolas is a frickin' killing machine. every arrow he looses kills something! except that berzerker orc at Helm's Deep. not bad. :-) Now... min max this elf fighter with a bow instead of a sword, but with masterwork bow that has the str bonus because it's got a bad ass draw weight... The Siege Engine is great. it might seem like there aren't enough rules at first, LOL. but there are, and that's the elegant beauty of C&C.

I figure the drawers can just be glued and tacked together, right? it's not like a huge drawer of tools, just a few pencils and such.

it's just so BIG you'd have to sit on a stool to see the players.
