but then, could not the troll be sitting back laughing at us all racking up Dr P bet's on how many folks they've confused and what camps of followers they have created? Re: Castles & Crusades: Blacktooth Ridge (T.V. Pilot)
I wouldn't harsh too much on the video. Ken did that with no funding and all volunteers. He's the tall guy with the accent and had to take on the roll of the messenger while he was directing. He won't be in the pilot as far as I know. But do take a moment and look at the quality of the film, the an...

Re: Paladin: Smite Evil.
Quick re-read and I'm changing camps, the "with one normal melee attack" kind of kills its multiple use. But to be fair to all, its wording is not ideal. Explaining something you "know" in words to others who do not know and may "want" to read it a multitude of ways is...

Re: Paladin: Smite Evil.
I'll attempt to end this argument: I play a Dwarf Paladin (Gunther, The Shield of the West, Lord of Magdul Holme, Seeker of Firstholme). I talked to Steve about the Paladin's abilities, which lead to the change in the newest printing. So, this is the way WE play it in Steve's game. The Paladin can i...

It's the PHB. The guy running the Kickstarter doesn't work for TLG so he probably just flubbed the name.

Wow, thanks Robert. I appreciate that.Treebore wrote:Well, plus he does change a lot of them from how they originally appeared, due to copyright reasons I would guess is at least part of why. I... don't think I've heard o' that one. Why dost thou like it? I wrote it. Which makes the initial joke just not that funny I would guess... It started as an AD&D adventure from years ago. It was kind of half-written, and half played from the hip for years as I tweaked it. When I started writi...

Why do people ALWAYS think medieval fantasy means English accents? The big guy in the bar sounded horrible.ChaosImp wrote:Just a suggestion; no fake English accents and hire some actual actors, other than that good luck on the KS you have my support.

I had my 30th anniversary last year sometime (in the spring I think). I am running a game online and the oldest player is 27 (and that is my daughter!). Not a single player was alive when I started. They constantly kid me about being old. It's sobering, but pretty cool as well.

Kim, if you ever run for President, they're bound to ask questions about the geography of Greyhawk. Who needs to know where Libya is?? ;) Incidentally, I largely play in Aihrde (A-series and other mods). I'm a big Greyhawk fan. Been using it since the mid 80s for my games. I know the geography and history of Greyhawk better than I do for most real countries.

Here's a cool moment from the Troll's game last night. We walked down a long hallway for about a week. At the end, we encountered a massive Minotaur, about 50' tall, blocking the only exit. He told us, with no equivocation, that he would not let us pass. He would hinder us at every step if we tried ...

Besides myself, Steve and Davis are both huge Howard fans. The three of us spent some time one night before our game discussing our favorite Conan story and what not. I'd freakin' love to get some C&C Conan.

A pretty fascinating and sad tale. I'd heard it all before, but this is probably the most insightful take on it I have ever read.
