Re: On dungeon mapping
For online games, I do the mapping via maptools – it’s fast and easy and keeps the game moving along. Face to face games, I let the players choose who and how they map. Recalling - playing in Gary’s OD&D game some years ago, we had a mapper and a caller. But Gary was not strict about how we/him ...

Re: Dungeons of Aufstrag
Thanks for your replies! I think I might be confused as I'm looking at the PDF and trying to remember what I read a few years back. The Aufstrag dungeon is HUGE and the Citadel is very big as well (and all the other areas). The Trolls have "wards" and such and levels within. And I've been ...

Re: What gaming stuff are you reading?
I haven't read anything in quite a while, but picked up the AD&D 2nd Edition ~ Charlemagne's Paladins. Even if I'll never run a real world history game, it's been fun reading so far.

FYI, the Trolls published levels A13 - A17 in the Umbrage Saga Part 3 - so you'd only have to fill in the last 5.

Re: Mass Combat?
Fields of Battle by Casey is really excellent. Rigon, Treebore, Morty and I played it with Casey some years ago at Troll CON. It was fast and smooth and just loads of fun. Treebore incorporated some mass combat in our online game a few years ago and it worked very well (by limiting the masses, if yo...

Some of the best dungeons I've ever seen. The Trolls did an outstanding job creating these. Hope you and your group have a great time with them.
Enjoy the game,

I do hope this gets published. From what I recall about this dungeon/world as talked about back in the day, it seems like it will be fabulous. His and Luke's Gaxmoor was so fantastic, that I expect this stuff will be great. Ernie is a great guy and I would buy this in a heartbeat! Rhu. Who? Tige, th...

Derek, great job on this module ~ I really liked it. Good selection of monsters ( and your new ones are fantastic)! The lesser "deck" is a great idea - because, of course ~ the deck of many things is or can be . . horrific!!! Methinks it wouldn't be hard to scale the level challenge down t...

Ok I would disagree. A FATHER is not the random genetic donor, it is the person that cared for you raised you taught you passed faith to you. Not knowing who the genetic donor is only means you do not have full disclosure on what health risks you may have from genetic issues. But other than that yo...

I took 2 DNA tests and the results showed no Jewish ancestry. So my father is not my father (doncha hate when that happens). All party member know the illusionist can cast a healing spell – s o they know it’s just an illusion . In C&C that is irrelevant. Knowing doesn't help you save or not save. The spell in REALITY causes the wounds to heal. It isn't an illusion. Rolling yer eyes is not a great way to make f...

I don't think this changed the face of game at all, Twas just one of so many confusing or conflicting rules, wording and or other poorly written descriptions of the game. Agreeing with Stephen (Trav) - ref to decide how to "play it out" ~ house ruling. It's what we did before we knew that ...
