Ever since I picked up my XPS convertible tablet/laptop I have been very happy with PDFs for gaming. Its super fast, easy to search with the win8.1 built-in pdf reader and I can carry everything I want with the internal 480gb SSD Ive got in it.

Re: What boardgame(s) are you playing?

Let me know how FA plays.... Plays great, and with the optional rules, is more expansive than the original. And for $25 (on sale at FFG), it's worth every penny. But be warned, this ain't no euro boardgame. You roll dice in Fortress America. There is a little luck involved, and best of all... good ...

Re: Nostalgic Games or Modern

I havent played much of anything lately but the only two games I play at all in recent memory are C&C and Dark Heresy. Love both games. Not exactly sure what you want elaboration on, but DH is a D% based game that is a lot crunchier than C&C and set in the Warhammer 40k universe.

Ill check this out later this evening. Thanks for the link. I really love d6 star wars and still think it's the best iteration of the Star Wars IP in RPG format. The new FFG stuff is definitely prettier, but not as fun IMO.

Re: So I bought a Mac

I use macs, pcs and linux machines and they all have good and bad qualities. I find that for artistic/creative endeavors the mac is usually a really good choice. For gaming windows is still king outside of the console world. For enterprise business windows and linux are both superior in many ways bu...

Serl is right. If you want an easy to navigate app with the same type of info, fully exportable to easy to read file formats, try this free little app called system spec (http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Info/System-Spec.shtml). Dont forget to right-click and run AS ADMINISTRATOR after you...

If you are on your laptop or desktop PC and need to get your wireless key before a reinstall of windows, or if you simply forgot it, grab wirelesskeyview (this has come in real handy when I was at my mom's for a visit and she forgot her wireless key and I wanted it for my laptop...

Windows Computer setup advice and Virus Removal advice

I wrote up the following by way of response to a few queries I have gotten lately via email and forum user PMs. I hope you find it helpful. I was a computer repair tech for around 5 years and have since moved on to being a senior systems administrator with a focus on virtualization systems (Citrix a...

Re: New computer advice

If you dont like the weird default interface of win 8, you can remedy that with various free apps such as this one at (http://www.classicshell.net/). Windows 8 isnt bad once you get used to it. It took me months to warm to it and it will never be win7 to me, but its a serviceable OS. Learn to use th...

Not looking good for me right now. Work has locked down the entire month of August for a major rollout of a new software suite for our enterprise environment. Unless they publish more targeted dates, the whole month is shot as far as time off goes.

On the PC games: DA: Origins was one of the best CRPGs ever IMO. Awesome, awesome game. Dragon Age 2 was.... the opposite of awesome for me. Sadly, this colored my interpretation of the tabletop RPG and I never gave it a real shot.

As some have already stated, most of the WSG should plug right in to C&C without issue. I hope your game goes well!
