Other than the limited edition of The Complete Castle Zygag, Including Dungeons and Township which sold for $5 for the boxed set (two boxes) for a 24-hour period and sold out completely....no, I don't think you missed a thing, Julian.

Re: Wanted: Stormbringer
In one of the defunct FLGS stores I frequented in Connecticut growing up, they had a nice replica of Stormbringer on the wall. I asked them to let me look at it, which they did. They seemed quite proud of the fact it was made of ebony, but I almost hated to tell them that "ebony" in the s...

Re: Which Other Game do you Like to most?
The only two I'm playing right now, are also the Top Two on my list: Castles & Crusades (and its variants) and Tunnels & Trolls. But there have been quite a few over the years that I'd play again at the drop of a hat. Don't know if I'd want to go to the trouble of gamesmastering or (shudder!...

"90% of everything is crud."
Boy, does this apply to games! This past week, I've tried reviewing at least one game at RPGNow/DTRpg that I've bought since 2003. After reading and reviewing an old file named "Goofballs," I'm beginning to realize that my tastes must have been really lousy over the past nine years. For ev...

The digital version does permit much quicker results when searching for something specific. It's not as fast on a tablet, but still faster than the book. But that art in the book -- MAN it's good to see it at larger-than-tablet size!

Re: Q/A With the Trolls
Let's put it this way: My 7-year old grandson had NO difficulty grasping the Siege Injun, and - with no rulebook or anything - wrote a one-level dungeon adventure and ran me through it the following week after having been introduced to the concept of role playing without a television or a console. (...

Was privileged to give a talk (translation from LDSspeak to English: sermon) in church this morning about this very thing. I related something a trainer taught me while I was still just a little E-3: "Duty-God-Country is one word." "Country" is a larger way of saying "family...

Re: Re-Reading AWD
Sounds perfectly reasonable, and what I use myself. I have always assumed that the printed pages of fantasy (and much of newspaper "facts") were as much hearsay and legend as they were facts. For instance(s), every news story in which I was involved, got many (not just a few) facts absolut...

Re: Re-Reading AWD
What's wrong with making the history unreliable, as much legend as fact? It works that way in Real Life; why not in fantasy? Of course I'm not coming at it with the same desires as you. Am I correct in that you want to know the facts of the world, laws of nature and historical facts nailed down, or ...
