Re: Osprey is always a good source to go to

I've leafed thru the Dragonslayer book a few times at my FLGS. Seems pretty cool and a pretty good deal, but don't know if I'm going to go in on this. Just have so many resources right now that I'm not using in print and digital. Anyone jumping on this one?

Re: What gaming stuff are you reading?

With the delay in shipping for the Reaper Bones CAV: Strike Operations miniature kickstarter, Reaper announced the hardback rulebooks would go on sale at a discount for backers. I got two and they came into today. Looking forward to reading through them. Additionally, EZ PDF reader was finally updat...

Re: Gold Box AD&D Pool of Radiance is Back!!!

Yeah, I was thinking of getting them, but I don't know if I want to deal with such old graphics. The old graphics don't bother me so much. I've gotten partly into the original Wasteland, which has been kind of fun to do. I'll likely pick all these up. I only had Pool of Radiance for my Apple IIc an...

The Trolls released a PDF teaser to the a C&C Kickstarter. You'll find it in the stretch goals here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/676918054/castles-and-crusades/description . The title of that 15 page PDF was "Aufstrag Preludes" but the stretch goals included 5 books for Aufstr...

Back on a Skyrim kick. Finished up a couple of individual quest. I'm around level 20 something. No idea in terms of game mechanics where that is, but its a fun game.

Re: Beyond the River - C&C Pilot from d20 Entertainment

So, Update 23 is still out there with the script available for anyone on the World Wide Web to download at their leisure. Is this something the Trolls wanted to do? or was the script for backers only? The way I read it, the script was part of the following pledge level and any others above it: $10 r...

Re: Warhammer Quest is coming back...sort of

Don't know much about Warhammer Quest other that it's was supposedly awesome. YMMV. No direct experience with the game. GW dropped and focused on it's Warhammer Fantasy Battle game version 1 thru 8. Not sure why, but who knows what was going on. I figured it would appear again, like they did with Ta...

I'm not a backer and that was posted by the trolls and signed by the trolls themselves as update 23 in the update section. It was not for backers only. I removed the link, but I can't remove the update which has link open to the public. That being said, it goes back to my very first question about w...

Re: Beyond the River - C&C Pilot from d20 Entertainment

Good news over at the Kickstarter Site. It seems TLG has done an official update. Original Screenplay is available to backers a reward. It seems that TLG will be doing some additional work on this, per Ken Whitman's request. I'd put this clearly in the category of "Not Dead Yet" Here is th...

Serleran introduce me to Warhammer Quest at Con on the Cob a few years back. One of the best board games I have ever played. I finally got a base set of it a couple of years ago. A card game wouldn't even come close to being as awesome as the board game. Alas, this is tragedy of OOP games. I hear t...

Re: Beyond the River - C&C Pilot from d20 Entertainment

A couple of other notes... There were two threads back during funding that were started that I could find. One by me to let everyone know it was going on. Then, oddly, by Ken Whitman of d20 Entertainment, using the exact same thread name (albeit 3 weeks later). Here they are: http://trolllord.com/fo...

Re: Beyond the River - C&C Pilot from d20 Entertainment

Tree, good point, I hadn't thought of that. But in the comment section it says "d20 Entertainment Creator" and Steve Chenault, Troll Lord Games is signing it. I agree that collaboration doesn't equal control, and that is why it came across as odd that there was post from Steve using offici...

Re: Beyond the River - C&C Pilot from d20 Entertainment

Since they have Zero direct control over D20 Entertainment, I wouldn't expect them to say anything about them. I disagree, they used a previous Troll Tusk (#53) to announce the upcoming collaboration with d20 Entertainment. In fact the title in the E-mail and the title of that Troll Tusk was The Tr...

Re: Beyond the River - C&C Pilot from d20 Entertainment

Well my concern, isn't driven from being a backer - as I passed on this C&C thing. It's more about affecting the C&C Brand and Troll Lord Games overall. Sure "only" 125 backers pledged $6,001. But the Trolls are associated with d20 Entertainment, which right now, is coming across a...

Beyond the River - C&C Pilot from d20 Entertainment

I wasn't a backer on this, but followed it periodically. When the short film/commerical came out "To the End" it got me thinking about the "Beyond the River" pilot that was kickstarted by d20 Entertainment. Not much good news it seems, coming out of all the d20 Entertainment Kick...

Warhammer Quest is coming back...sort of

Well, I first saw this on Steam. Not sure how it will actually translate. I am hoping they would do a faithful board game representation, like Talisman, we'll see how it turns out. It's gotten mixed reviews since it came out in January and apparently some good updates. Seems to be like the board gam...

DMMike,

That was a great episode. Some of those Magic Items were very cool, alas a copy of the originals is rather expensive $100 for a copy of the 1977 Vol. I over at Amazon, and haven't found it on PDF over at RPGNow.

Yeah, not sure why they went with 18 days. Perhaps after looking at the data, they were trying to shorten low paying days, and allow themselves some extra days to work the Kickstarter directly. (pure speculation here I have no idea how Kickstarter fulfillment or management works). BONES III ended up...

There are 12,229 backers who have pledged $2,152,988.00 (of a $30,000.00 goal) The miniatures and add-ons are pretty amazing. I'm surprised they're about $1,000,000.00 short of Bones II's funding.
