Re: Seskis
Thanks for sharing that photo Rhu. I never met John but from what I've heard he was a great human being. You're welcome. And glad the photo finally appeared, but hate the photobuck tag. Btw, that's Mona (his wife) across from him. And the guy on the left with folded arms is a great fellow and forum...

"Weapons need to be +1 or better to hit... cool... "
Not quite, Capt. Weapons need to be magical. So, a +1 expert sword would not hit, whereas a magical sword (with or without a to hit bonus) would hit.

I would rule that the wizard is immune until the potion wears off with NO avalanche effect ~ otherwise, the spell is mostly worthless.

Re: Need help with holy items – non Christian items
Mogen David, good choice. Here are some other items for consideration: Yarmulke (skullcap). Phylactery (small leather box worn on the head – see M&T treasures). Mezuzah (metal case containing scripture) worn on a chain or nailed to a doorway entrance. Torah (old testament, 5 books of Moses) or a...

Re: Fantastic Adventure
I read it a long time ago, but never ran it. From what I can remember it was your standard 1st level dungeon crawl. I think there is an enemy adventuring party that you have to face. R- Hehe, I had so forgotten this module that I didn't mention it to Mac when we met him down at TrollCON. Remember h...

Re: Fantastic Adventure
Following up on the OP. I re-read this module and had forgotten how well written and interesting it is. Mac Golden did a great job on this. As Rigon mentioned ~ standard dungeon crawl (so the players may think), but with a clever and fun twist. The other adventuring party is one that your players wi...

Re: Fantastic Adventure
So, I saw that "Fantastic Adventure" is one of the oldest modules, one that actually predates C&C. Has anyone ran or played it? What can be said about it? Indeed. But, this module and a few others were not C&C adventure modules (d20) - cause they were written before C&C was cr...

Re: Lejendary Adventure, skill bundles, books
Shadows is a great module. I ran it for my group some years ago.
For beginners, though ~ I'll recommend The Rising Knight from the Trolls. First in an excellent series of modules.
Well written and fun to CK, my players really enjoyed it.

I had the pelasure to read LA Essentials - the rules. I must say, it all sounds really, really cool. It is sad that the actual book cannot be found digitally. Has anyone got them? Also has anyone actually played this. LAst but not least, seeing the abilites, I was thinking fo incorproating the desc...

So, I've heard and read about this game for years and watched some play at the LGGC and GC and have been wanting to try it. I watched the above video and found it hilarious. Anyway, if I buy the starter game - should I go with the original or the 5E version? Thanks for any and all opinions! :P Boug...

Re: AC in a Grim Gothic setting
One thing I can't bend my head around is AC. I like the idea of Pulp clothing etc giving an AC bonus in the standard pulp setting. But, when it comes to Grim Gothic, I can't see a fedora (well 1880/90s I guess it would be a bowler hat) and a trench coat giving an AC bonus. When I read Poe, or Doyle...

Oh yeah, a thought . . don't forget about using Victorious for you game rules. I used it and I thought it worked perfectly for my game and MotRD!
Not trying to steer the game away from AA, which I have played and like a lot, but just throwing another choice out there for consideration.
