Re: Who's running games at GenCon?

Could any of you running off grid games submit them to me at sword@castlesandcrusades.com. I'll pass them along to the Trolls. We'll promote them for you.

Re: I can't believe I did it again.

Daniel, at least you still have the 3 new adventures, and the other material in the HH CKG. Plus, one of the first 6 adventures (maybe #6) has been expanded with an extra Fields of Battle scenario. It's a great book, and I heartily recommend the HH Players Guide as well.

Nor sure I can live up to that, Clovis. BTW, we might have some folks interested in a Saturday night game. They have yet to try the system. I'll check my email, contact them, and see if you guys can hook up.

Re: WOTC Temple of Elemental Evil Board Game (Adventure Syst

Expansion sets? I guess I had forgotten about those. If those are out of print, they'll be gouged for out-of-this world prices. I had forgotten about Wrath. I was thinking of Legend of Drizzt.

Re: Who's running games at GenCon?

Dungeoneer, I didn't take it that way. I'm glad you had interest in it. I guess my Looking Stone and Mythnoc Cairn games filled up very quickly after GenCon rectified my mistake. I imagine they would have filled up on the first day, if not for that. People are hungry for gaming, I guess. Especially,...

You'll find that some games are listed as Castles & Crusades, and others are Castles and Crusade. That may affect your search results.

Re: Who's running games at GenCon?

Dungeoneer, has my Haunted Highlands: Mythnoc Cairns game already filled up? I thought there were some slots still available. I'll have to check. I don't remember how many games were on the schedule, but most are being gm'd by company employees, or related individuals. Jason Vey has two Amazing Adve...

Re: Who's running games at GenCon?

The problem has been rectified. Clovis and Ben are signed up for one of the games. Another GC attendee put me on to this issue. He's hoping to sign up if possible. Two games, and I'll take as many as 8 players.

Re: C&C vs d20 Materials

True, Tree. However, I think a few of Gary Gygax's Gygaxian Fantasy World books may have come after 2005. Those had D20 stats. My memory is faulty, but I think Cosmos Builder might have been one such book. Also, the C&C white box might have been released in 2004. However, there don't appear to be an...

Re: Who's running games at GenCon?

It appears to have been a mistake on my part. I've sent two e-mails to rectify the matter. Their events manager has apparently had some sort of illness, causing him to only be in the office sporadically. I have e-mailed another individual for immediate assistance, but she may not handle gaming matte...

Funny story about Legion of Gold...Troll and I were up in Alex Kammer's game room (the Gamehole-he's the GH con organizer). I was talking to Luke Gygax and Dale Leonard (GaryCon co-organizer). Dale wished Luke w Happy birthday. I'm 44, and I assumed Luke might be at least 49 because his name was als...

Re: What boardgame(s) are you playing?

Dungeon (the 2012 WOTC version). I own the early 90's TSR version, and played (many moons ago) the version that most recall from the late 70's/early 80's. Very simple game but for 20 bucks, it's fun for the entire family. Mission accomplished. Was nice meeting original creator, Dave Megarry, at Gary...

Re: D&D 5th Edition Discussion

I can't remember for sure, but does the proficiency bonus mechanic keep numbers bloat down vs. adding your level? I guess that could be a positive. Keep in mind, I only played 4 or 5 sessions. Seems to me one could just beef up the power level of C&C (crits, higher att bonuses, etc.) use advantages,...

Really just skimming through a variety of things. DCC Planet of Purple Peril boxed set, some other DCC set, the DCC Lankhmar module, etc. Also some used Rifts books, Gramercy Island for Palladium's Heroes Unlimited, and Shades of Mist (current C&C module my group is playing through).

Speaking of the aging tables...did they ever fix the ages of some of the standard races vs. the ages that were listed in the phb. I know some of them used to differ. Not sure which ones because I'm not home at the moment.

Re: Paladium's RIFTS is being Savaged!

As I recall Savage Worlds was at least partly derived from a Pinnacle Ent. game called the Great Rail Wars, as well as Deadlands. Don't quote me. C&C is my game for D&D type fantasy, and Savage Worlds. Handles the rest. Even good for fantasy.
